Only 3% of State Supreme Court Justices in U.S. Are Latino
Only 3% of State Supreme Court Justices in U.S. Are Latino

While Latinos make up 16 percent of the population of the United States, Latino judges make up only 3 percent of state supreme court justices across the country.
According to an analysis by Fox News Latino, only 10 out of a total of 326 state supreme court justices are Latino.
That number includes last month’s retirement of California judge Carlos R. Moreno, but not that of New Jersey Supreme Court Justice Roberto Rivera-Soto, the first and only Hispanic justice on the state’s highest court, who has announced that he will not seek re-nomination when his term ends in September.
The low number seems all the more significant now, on the heels of the newly released 2010 Census data that shows the Hispanic population at 50 million.
Latino leaders, including former Latino state Supreme Court justices, worry about the dearth.

there we go again, using illegals to prop their numbers. if you strip the illegal population at the very least Latino are not 16 % of teh population. About 30% of their entire population is here illegally! you do the math.
But if it needed explaining again it is clear that so-called leaders in the Hispanic community are encouraging this unAmerican crass demographic hegemony muscle flexing! Latin Americans come from corrupt countries and are seeking to establish that culture here. Period.
Enough - deport all illegals and stop using the label, Hispanic! Otherwise let's bring up teh German label and let's flex those muscles. More than 52 million Americans, Americans (born here) are of German Heritage. How about that?

The Law School Admission Test is a test and it is not based on the color of your skin. I am sick and tired of this nonsense. If you fail the test, it's simple, you failed the test. And it probably is because you didn't work hard enough, period. This diversity affirmative action nonsense almost says that whites are so superior that the tests are built for whites and therefore other races and ethnicities are doomed to fail! Oh really? Why don't Latino leaders look at what Asians achieve. Are Asians white? Or perhaps they work hard, and yes that's the key and on top of that they also have very supportive families. Combine work ethic and family and you can see why Asians surpass even whites! Latinos are supposed to have values like "communidad, familia, etc etc". Isn't it what we hear are the time? Perhaps Latinos ought to assimilate, integrate and stop holding on to Spanish and put all their chips on America and English. Just saying

Here we go. Demands for more latino state Supreme Court Justices cannot be far behind because as we all know, only a diverse court can render decisions that are in accordance with a latino perspective. :roll

What's the average age of a judge? I'll take a wild guess and say 50. Common sense tells me 50 years ago latinos were a small minority of the births so there is going to be a small minority on the courts right now.

I figure that's about equal in proportion to the 25%-30% of them who are pro-assimilation...for the rest...who cares?
