Okay, folks, we need some information.

I just talked to Congressman Goode's office about the Mexican truck deal. The staffer didn't have any info on when the trucks will start rolling through our country, but she did say that there is a bill in the Senate for the pilot program and it's waiting for floor debate on it. She did say that the Department of Transportation had some isssues with the safety of this venture and said to check their website for information on a timeline.

When I told her we would give Congressman Goode any support he needed to get H.CON.RES.40 out of it's stalled status, she said the time to start calling and emailing the House members is NOW. She said it's going to take a lot of voices to get this Nafta Super Highway Sysytem killed.

I don't think Bush will wait for the Senate, but we need some concrete information on a timeline for when these trucks will start invading our highways. Once we find this out, we need to hit the media hard and get the word out and get some public support.

Anybody got some time to research this today? I'll do what I can for a bit, but have an appointment this afternoon.

Thanks
