Sorry arrow, I get just a little scatter brained at times.

For me.....for right now, given the options, I will vote for Ron Paul. I believe he has the disciplined philosophy necessary to rebuild from within. Perhaps save some of those rooms we were concerned with.

My radical inner self wants to wander from the reservation and not vote for the lesser of two evils no matter what happens at this time. Change will come, one way or another.

No need to get too complex really, the options are slim. Ron Paul stands out.

    GO RON PAUL

We'd be better balanced if the system was constructed as designed: The people are represented in the House, and the Senators represents the State.
I agree AngelaTC! The system doesnt seem fair at all. "We, the people" are never taken into consideration with any decision making anymore. Its pathetic. Its my country too and I want to be heard too.

Roundabout, no worries. As long as our republic will return to normality, and to what the founders of this nation put forth, I have no problem throwing my support behind whomever. Further, you, and all who feel the same way are to be commended for your commitment to this nation, and your firmly held beliefs that to vote for the lesser of two evils still is voting for evil.

There are far too few people who are willing to do this. That is one of the reasons why I do love ALIPAC even though I disagree with some, and agree with most. The main thing, as you know, is to have a responsive, Constitutionally based republic which will toe the line, and be unassailable in its' protection of OUR right to exist as a nation where the Constitution is THE law, not a batch of half baked ideas, or politicians out for their own self interest.

No, it's a tactic that the Democrats brought into the party when the Southern Democrats invaded because they lost the battle of segregation.

I would not call them thick-headed morons in their presence. And it's immigration, not war, that earns them that moniker in my book.

Here's an example of a conversation I had with a "republican."

Me: Too much cheap labor avialable.

Him: If labor costs were higher my business would close.

Me: That's how the free market works.

Him: Making sandwiches is not worth $12.00 an hour.

Me: That's not supposed to be entirely your decision. The workers make their best deals, and sometimes that includes benefits too.

Him: No way am I paying benefits!

Me: That's fine, but if the workers can find a job that does, they'll migrate there.

Him: They're not worth that much!

Me: Then you have to either find ways to increase efficiency or reduce costs in other areas, or fail.

Him: No way - we just need more minimum wage workers!
AngelaTC, while I certainly understand your angst, I do believe that most of the problem you just described could be solved by fewer taxes, and getting Government out of the "mandate" business

Perhaps. What all responsible folks will do is make the best choice from those available. Others will do nothing, allowing someone else to choose.

One of the reasons I am asking the question is because I feel it is time to send a message to the Republican National Committee in the form of a letter stating something like this:

    To (Republican Committee member)
For years the Republican party has stated it represents the conservative interests of this nation, and that we must support you as the conservative answer to the Democratic party.

We have done this in the hope that you will be true to your word. That, sadly, has not happened, as you have continued to hand over our National Sovereignty, to foreign entities such as the U.N, increased the power and scope of government, and failed to keep good your promises to us; We the People, who put you in power.
Congress and the Senate continue to enjoy automatic pay raises, while the American people are suffering under an enormous tax burden, which cannot continue.
Congress and the Senate continue to enjoy a retirement package second to none, all the while sucking the defunct Social Security dry, and cheat the American people out of Billions every year in the form of unfair taxation every year.
Congress and the Senate continue to shirk the will of the American people by failing to secure the borders, cut taxes, limit government, get rid of politics as usual etc.
Therefore, We the People Demand, and will not vote for any Republican until these platforms are adopted by the RNC
1.) You will return to a Constitutionally based governing system.
2.) You will overhaul the current tax code to incorporate a flat tax.
3.) You will secure Both borders, and shut down the NAFTA highway.
4.) You will balance the budget.
5.) You will dismantle useless entities such as the Dept of Education, and reform all other Governmental offices to reflect a smaller, more responsive government, in line with the Constitution. You may NOT count on my support in any further election until you address these issues, and others. Very Respectfully, (Your name here)
These are a partial list right now, but, this is what I am thinking. Maybe William would be interested. How about anyone else?

My hearts with you, but this website is not so interested in issues other than stopping illegal immigration. Read the platform it's pretty clear. It won't hurt to send this letter. Actually not voting will hurt, but you've got to negotiate from some position.
Just give your permission and like minded brothers and sisters will help you send this letter.

    Really?
I find it interesting that you would say this to me, but not post for all the others who have said the same thing in different forums. What precisely, is different? I am not intending to be aggressive toward you, so please don't take it that way, but, I feel that to change the platform we MUST voice our opposition to what is offered. Anyone else?

What is the difference between the Wealthy that Own and Run The United States and the General Public? The wealthy elites have been groomed through generations of greed and know the game of Political Chess. We as the General Populous are spending our time trying to figure out how to feather our own pillows and ignoring what the Elites of this Country are doing under our own noses. If you think they dont have people groomed and bankrolled to step into the shoes of the people we would send on the way of retirement from the Congress, you better think again. Where the People of the United States are loosing their battle is their own self serving purposes. Do you have any clue of how much money and power the Middle Class of this nation would hold if it would just send 20 dollars for each of the people residing in there house to a cantidate that would hold this Nations Politicians Accountable? That would hold Business Owners Accountable. That would Stop all the Backdoor Politics and closed door decisions. Get on a phone and talk to people about how angry they are about what is happening right now and see how much noise they make about it until you mention spending some money to change it and see how quiet it gets. Why dont we start asking ourselves how a great man like Tom Tancredo was shut down? How about Duncan Hunter? Its all talk until the bankroll leaves your wallet. Do you know how you beat the Kennedys and Rockefellers of the world, you get more powerful than them and beat them at their own game. Next is we as United States Citizens need to quit thinking cheapest is best. I will give you an example. An aquaintance of mine goes for Coffee every morning to a small resteraunt in a nearby town. The owner raised the coffee price to $1.50 for a bottomless cup of coffee from $1.00. This guy lost his mind and bitched endlessly about the audacity of this owner to raise her prices when other resteraunts in town were charging $1.50 for years. When he gets up from his Coffee, he heads out of the Diner and jumps in his 2004 Corvette and runs down to the gas pump and pumps in gas at the amount of $3.15 a gallon. I dont hear him bitching about that, but he will bitch about a person trying to make an honest living? We United States Citizens need to get off our Chinese/Mexican slave made (Cheap Labor) cheap items fix and start putting our Money into the UNITED STATES. That would mean we would have to stop buying our goods from Walmart and other cheap Chinese wearhouses and buy our goods from American Companies. Now this would all mean that we would have to pay more for Items because the person that is making them here locally would need to support his family and his workers and give them healthcare benefits. Are you willing to invest in THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA? Take a long look in the mirror and see where the problems we have here in the UNITED STATES have come from and then ask yourself how you should fix it? Remember that when your pointing at someone three of the fingers are pointing at you. Are we willing to get organized enough to beat the Elites or are we going to just talk about it?
