Thread: Our Tax Dollars at Work

A friend of mine told me that Air America (not one of my favorites) interviewed a former IRS worker that said the IRS had a small 12 man office that's job was to reconcile discrepancies in Social Security #'s but it was closed down by this administration. I doubt that is true because there is no IRS track record for weeding out info of this nature. If it is true it's tragic.
It's pretty much a given that the Clinton administration used the IRS for petty revenge. So who knows?

andyt--there is or used to be an office that did investigate duplicity in social security numbers. They shut it down? So who is protecting our numbers?

This needs to be investigated. See if you can find out some more information about it and let me know.
