In Greensboro,NC there was a cafeteria that employed non violent ex cons .This meant that instead of being out on the street, they had work. The head cashier told me last year when I no longer saw hardly any blacks(she is black and been there for 15 years or so) or whites working there anymore that Management now hires almost all non english speaking people instead of the ex-cons .Now about 30 people who could have a fresh start and move on to other things are on the streets unemployed. Why does the federal and state governments have as part of parole have them do theses farming labor jobs? These would be non violent offenders getting back into society. Some of these jobs could even be done by people still in prison with little cost to the farmers and orange growers. What say you?
