MADISON, Wis. -House Speaker Paul Ryan's Republican primary opponent faces a challenge of his nomination papers.

Paul Nehlen is among 11 candidates in the Aug. 9 primary who face ballot access challenges. The Government Accountability Board was scheduled to consider the cases on Friday.

Nehlen's nomination papers were challenged by conservative activist Orville Seymer. He alleges that Nehlen should be disqualified for listing that he lives in the city of Delavan instead of the town of Delavan, among other things.

Others being challenged include 7th Congressional District Republican candidate Donald Raihala, Democratic state Reps. Christine Sinicki and Leon Young and Republican state Rep. Mary Czaja.

Issues raised in challenges largely focus on failure to gather enough signatures to get on the ballot, or submitting allegedly invalid signatures.
