Paul voted to allow firms to lay off Americans
Here is a link to Ron Paul's voting record on legal and illegal immigration:
http://profiles.numbersusa.com/improfil ... &VIPID=787
Here is how NumbersUSA characterized a vote by Ron Paul in 1998:
Voted in 1998 to allow firms to lay off Americans
to make room for foreign workers
Before the House passed the H-1B doubling bill (H.R.3736), Rep. Paul had an opportunity to vote for a Watt Substitute bill that would have forbidden U.S. firms from using temporary foreign workers to replace Americans. Rep. Paul opposed that protection. The substitute also would have required U.S. firms to check a box on a form attesting that they had first sought an American worker for the job. Rep. Paul voted against that. The protections for American workers fell 33 votes short of passing.

I don't know what your problem is with Ron Paul, but you just seem to go from thread to thread attacking him. May I ask WHY????????

cause he knows he is gonna win!
Ron Paul has very clear reasons why he votes one way or the other. Sometimes these bills have certain aspects in them that trumps the constitution so he votes against them or for them, depending.
I will go to the ronpaulforums and inquire about this.

Not trying to troll here, but what is his reasoning for voting the way he has on some of the things brought up here?
I am just curious.

A lot of the accusations have been debunked......just check other threads. Its like the question in 6 or 7 theads about Ron Paul voting AGAINST the military being on the border.
He is voting according to the Constitution.
OUR MILITARY IS FOR FOREIGN INTERVENTION.
When it comes to DOMESTIC PROBLEMS (meaning inside the U.S.), it is the NATIONAL GUARD (militia of the states) THAT IS TO DO THE JOB.
Instead of listening to erroneous accusations, find the bills referred to and READ THEM!!!!!

I'm not a Paul supporter.
But I know one thing for sure -- he's better than McCain and Giuliani in my party -- and any Democrat I have seen so far.
Frankly, on this one issue, I find that I don't trust ANY of the candidates. I get a sick feeling in my gut that when the next President is sworn in it's going to be Open Borders all over again. Kind of like the movie Groundhog Day. And we are all going to be back in the battle once again.
I sure hope we get right in 2008.
