Pentagon Tells Benghazi Committee - Slow Down
Obama’s Pentagon Sends Shock Letter to Gowdy… Benghazi Families in Disbelief
President Barack Obama’s Pentagon recently sent a letter to the House Select Committee on Benghazi, essentially telling it to slow down its investigation into the deadly 2012 terrorist attack while chastising it for not having all of its requests for information squared away, according to The Washington Examiner.
“The department has spent millions of dollars on Benghazi-specific congressional compliance, including reviews by four other committees, which have diligently reviewed the military’s response in particular,” read the letter from Stephen Hedger, assistant secretary of defense for legislative affairs, to South Caroline GOP Rep. Trey Gowdy, head of the Benghazi committee.
“The department is working diligently to accommodate your staff’s multiple and changing requests,” continued Hedger. “However, we are concerned by the continuous threats from your staff to subpoena witnesses because we are not able to move quickly enough to accommodate these new requests.”
The letter, which was released by Democrat committee members seemingly intent on sabotaging the investigation at every turn, went on to complain about the changing numbers and complexity of some of the interview requests the committee has made of the Pentagon, the difficulty in finding certain individuals requested for interviews, as well as some of the probing and speculative questions being asked of interviewees by the committee investigators.Pentagon rips Benghazi Committee over 'speculation' via @POLITICO for iPad https://t.co/elBcBgNLG9

A spokesman for the committee responded by saying, “This letter is further proof the Benghazi Committee is conducting a thorough, fact-centered investigation.”
“It’s unfortunate it took the threat of subpoenas for the Pentagon to make witnesses available earlier this year,” the spokesman continued. “This delayed the committee from learning a tremendous amount of new information from several witnesses, and when they refer the committee to others in the department, the responsible thing to do is to interview them.”Today the #Benghazi Committee interviewed its 75th witness who had never before been interviewed by Congress, and the 97th witness to date.“What is DOD so afraid of? Why are they supposedly unable to find their own employees?” the spokesman added.

There is little doubt that the families of the Benghazi victims, along with a majority of the American people, are in utter disbelief at the Pentagon’s response to the Benghazi committee’s investigative efforts.
In essence, Obama’s Pentagon is complaining that the Benghazi committee has pressured it over dragging its feet and delaying the investigation, something the State Department has been doing quite effectively as well.
It had been hoped that the Benghazi committee would complete their investigation and issue a final report on the matter by the summer, but with the constant delays from various departments in the Obama administration and the seemingly constant introduction of new information to the investigation, hitting that deadline is looking more and more unlikely, delaying truth and justice even longer than it already has been.

CIA Director Claims Hillary’s Emails May Have Caused Benghazi Disaster
"... tipped off our enemies ..."
Scott Mason May 2, 2016 at 3:41pm
According to one major CIA analyst former Secretary Hillary Clinton’s use of a private server may have directly led to people’s death.
Ray McGovern, CIA analyst and a trusted confidant of Presidents Nixon, Ford and Reagan, believes it is entirely possible that Clinton’s unsecure server was hacked. If that is indeed what happened, McGovern believes it may have tipped off our enemies about Ambassador Stevens’ lack of security in Benghazi and led to the now infamous attack that killed four Americans.
Writing for Consortium News, McGovern points out, “If there is any indication that Clinton’s belatedly classified emails contained information about internal State Department discussions regarding the consulate’s security shortcomings, questions may be raised about whether that information was somehow compromised by a foreign intelligence agency and shared with the attackers.”
McGovern believes Clinton’s incompetence also led to the attack. Elaborating further, he said, “We know that State Department bureaucrats under Secretary Clinton overruled repeated requests for additional security in Benghazi. We also know that Clinton disregarded NSA’s repeated warnings against the use of unencrypted communications. One of NSA’s core missions, after all, is to create and maintain secure communications for military, diplomatic and other government users.”
McGovern’s points may take center-stage as the FBI’s investigation of Clinton heats up in the coming months.
