Phyllis Schlafly’s Final Book Makes New York Times Best Sellers List: The Conservative Case for Trump

Ed Martin, president of the Eagle Forum, spoke with Breitbart News Daily SiriusXM host Alex Marlow about “The Conservative Case for Trump,” which Martin co-wrote with the late Phyllis Schlafly. The book recently made The New York Times Best Sellers list.

In emphasizing Schlafly’s dedication to spreading information and growing a movement, rather than plaudits, Martin said, “Phyllis Schlafly didn’t care about being a best seller on lists. That means that people are buying the book, which is the goal.”

“Phyllis loved this book,” he continued, “because The Conservative Case for Trump is about what’s for Trump, not just what’s bad about Hillary, but what is Trump about, and we are very excited about it.” She added, “More importantly than anything, we’re seeing what we wanted to see. If you learn more about Trump and what he’s going to do, more and more of America is going to vote for him. And it’s going to change the course of American history.”

So nice to know that Phyllis Schlafly's last book is receiving such great reviews and soaring on the New York Times Best Seller List. She would be very pleased.

Those who read her words should be convinced of the importance of this election and of the importance of who sits in the White House next when it comes to saving America from the completion of the fundamental transformation that Obama/Clinton seek and which will take her down.

The Third World is flooding in with illegal aliens and refugees. Our enemies are part of the masses who cannot or will not assimilate. It must stop.

Phyllis Schlafly, the conservative polemicist and activist icon who passed away September 5, is beating Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton in the book market despite intense public interest in the 2016 campaign.

Schlafly’s The Conservative Case for Trump (Regnery), which was released on Labor Day, Sep. 6 — coincidentally, the day after she died — outsold Clinton’s Stronger Together: A Blueprint for America’s Future, which was released on the exact same date.

Early sales figures provided by Regnery showed that Schlafly had moved 4,296 units, compared to 2,905 for Clinton.

The fact that Schlafly beat Clinton by nearly 50% is no surprise to Ed Martin, her co-author on The Conservative Case for Trump.

“I think Phyllis is looking down in heaven and enjoying this,” he told Breitbart News on Sunday. “Phyllis, among other talents, had increibdle timing.

“She used to tell me that you have to know when and how to pick your battles. I can’t say we expected her to pass away when we wrote the book. I was hoping to have something by July. She told me, ‘Don’t worry, it will be fine if it gets out by Labor Day.’

He said that many Americans continue to find Schlafly a source of inspiration, even after her passing at the age of 92.

Schlafly endorsed Trump in the Republican primary, causing controversy among conservatives who had rallied behind Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) as the clear ideological favorite.

But Schlafly placed special emphasis on the issues of trade and immigration, Martin said — issues that Trump set at the forefront of his campaign.

“The fist two chapters of the book are about immigration and trade. She talked to Donald Trump about conservative judges, but she believe that immigration and trade are transformative issues. Unless we take those issues seriously, conservatives need to realize we won’t win another election, we won’t have a country. She felt that is what is at stake.”

Schlafly also felt that conservatives had to “get over misgivings” and pick the Republican nominee.

“I would say what I heard Phyllis Schlafly say: ‘If you want a third, fourth, or fifth party, go to Europe. The conservative party in America is the Republican Party, and we cannot keep going the direction we have been under Obama and Clinton.”

Trump is right about everything pertaining to our economy, borders, trade, spending, immigration, defense, wars, NATO, law enforcement, infrastructure, education, health care, Social Security and Medicare, inner cities, wages, business, agriculture, energy and regulations.

it's just unbelievable that we are finally blessed with a candidate for President of the United States who not only wants to fix these problems, but who actually knows how to do it and is willing to do it.

Donald Trump is a warrior for the best interests of the United States and our Citizens.
