Please call now! Stop Sotomayor!
Writings Reveal Sotomayor's Controversial 'Wise Latina' Remark Not Isolated
The five boxes of files delivered to Capitol Hill gave senators a fuller picture of Sonia Sotomayor's background and record, as well as of how President Obama came to nominate his first Supreme Court choice
Sonia Sotomayor told the Senate on Thursday that the White House never questioned her about cases or issues she might have to decide as a Supreme Court justice, a disclosure gleaned from reams of documents that reveal she has spoken repeatedly about how her gender and Latina heritage affect her judging.
The federal appeals court judge divulged new details about her finances and provided three decades of writings, speeches and rulings that give both supporters and critics fresh fodder for the coming debate on her confirmation. They include more instances in which she said she hopes a "wise Latina" would reach a better decision than a man without that experience.
The comments in 2002 and 2003 echo a much-criticized remark she made in 2001 at the University of California-Berkeley law school that has prompted a furor among conservatives who say they suggest President Barack Obama's first Supreme Court nominee brings a personal bias to her legal decisions.
Obama has said he is "sure she would have restated it."
In fact, she said it almost precisely the same way in speeches to the Princeton Club in 2002 and one at Seton Hall law school in 2003, according to copies she sent the Senate.

One possible avenue of attack to head off the nomination itself is described like this (from ResistNet - http://www.resistnet. com/forum/topics/sonia-sotomayor-will-have-to- 1 ): "The Republicans in the senate have a way to stop her, according to Karl Rove. In order for her to be confirmed, at least one Republican has to vote for her in committee. If no Republicans vote for her in committee, then the confirmation can not go to the floor of the senate for confirmation.

I just called all of their offices and they were very pleased to hear from me. I think they are getting "pounded" by the "hispanic" groups like La Raza and Maldef..... and so feel like they are fighting this battle alone.
Please call and let them know there is support against her nomination!
Thanks!

We must support our side of the fight!
I called and thanked all but one ( Sen. Cornyn, I can't get through the line )for the fine work they have been doing for the American people. And encouraged them to vote against Sotomayor! I told a few of the staff members representing certain members that I had a great deal of respect for the politicans they worked for and that they are true patriots!

how many of these senators must resist? Are all required? Usually there is at least one one bilderburger operative in these gatherings.

Thanks to everyone who is calling!!!!!
Also thanks for the updates on what they are telling you!
These Republicans have a lot of pressure on them because there are Republicans like Colin Powell that think we "Americans" want a bigger government and want more government programs and want what Obama wants.
We need these Senators to hear from the Americans Republican or not that are not going to "tow the line" and instead think of America, her history and our Constitution FIRST and foremost!
Again - thanks to all of you who call!!!
