Called his Gastonia, NC office and got voice mail.
Called his Winston-Salem office and spoke with a staffer.
Called his Washington office and spoke with a staffer.
They did say that he remains opposed. I don't think that is rock solid like Dole, though.
Keep up the heat...Just say NO to Bush and his immigration bill.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

Called earlier today. Told them this bill was amnesty plain & simple.
We need to enforce current immigration laws & fine employers.
Emphatically told him I know Burr supports farmers who use illegals but me and at least 15 voters in my family don't and will remember if he votes amnesty.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

Office said Burr will not support bill as-is. Not much more comment...
How did we get to the point where the farmers in NC are so dependant on illegals? Six years ago there werent that many illegals in NC -- how did they do it then?287(g) + e-verify + SSN no match = Attrition through enforcement

I called and was furious, in fact I talked to two staffers and they tried to get me off the phone. I told them that it was a bunch of lies that I have worked with illegals in const. and they laugh about clearing 1500.00 a week and their wives draw welfare and free healthcare and gripe if they have to pay for anything. I told them we have laws, enforce them, fine employers, cut off benefits and they will leave. I was so angry, I had just listened to Bush and McConnell and couldn't get through to McConnell so called Burr. Also told them I did't believe the Senators had even read the bill, if they had ,surely they would have mentioned the bilateral healthcare with Mexico and the NAU that was tucked away in there. We are not the fools they take us for and I am now angry.
Bush "We will have the most educated american people of America"
