But before you say I told you so I have Miami/Dade Community college international student fees too.
Fall Term - Sixteen Weeks (Full Time: Based on an average of 12 to 15 semester credits per term)

Matriculation Fees and Non-Resident Tuition (Estimate)
    $2,650

My math says that it's 221 a credit hour.

MDC told me that because I'm supposedly an "International student" I have to pay $620 per credit so that could cost $1860 for a 3 credit course. Anyways I'm here legally so I should pay in-state fee's...

If you are a non-resident/international student you aren't allowed to access financial aide. So why do you have to pay a fee for it?

In my opinion, Miami Dade College, formerly Miami Dade Community College, shouldn't even be considered an American college. They should rename it again to The College of Latin America.

I totally agree... I should phone up the college today and ask them why they don't consider changing their name. Last time I walked on campus trying to talk to someone who works there, all I seen was African Americans and white who spoke spanish. Not 1 white person was talking English. Isn't that disgusting?

Go onto the college website and look for the phone number to administration and call it instead of trying to go through the switchboard, that's the best way to get to the campus leadership.

It's easy to get in-state tuition, just pay a utility bill for 6 months with your name on it.

I'm not sure what the exact rules are but I've gone to college in two different states and I paid in-state tuition in both states by using utility bill to prove my residency.

I have old high school transcripts from 2003 to 2005 to prove how long I've been here.

I called up the dean of students today he didn't even want to comment on that illegal Columbian named Jose Gomez. I asked him why his admin people said I had to be an international student. He couldn't answer my questions and tried to transfer me to the admin office.

    SIGH

It's like no matter what you try to do that's legal and correct in Miami the illegals get rewarded and take away your rights. I don't know who else to complain to or what to do anymore. I e-mailed CNN and FOX news and I got nothing in return so far. I also complained to the ACLU who denied my case because I'm white and from a British Common-Wealth country.
