sendthemback,
Look at Hunter, Paul, Romney and Thompson. They are the only ones that seem to be immigration enforcement candidates.
Many things can happen and many things can be said between now and the Nov. election. You have a lot of time to decide on the candidate that is right for you.

Since Duncan Hunter is a Republican, why don't we email the GOP headquarters and ask that they somehow let us hear from him. They would love to hear from Dems. that would support a Rep.

I just mentioned to my husband if we're stuck with McCain I may, for the first time in my life, vote for some remote 3rd party candidate. I can't vote for McCain. He is SO open borders. We just received our absentee ballots & I am going to wait until the last minute before I send them off. I feel the same frustration. Duncan Hunter not only is a good man, but would've made a great Pres. How can someone like him be ignored and people like Hilary and Obama get so much adoration from the ignorant naive press!

Really, there are only two principles to vote for.
Anti-illegal immigraton or pro-illegal immigration.
The 4 candidates mentioned above are the only ones running at this time who appear to be anti-illegal immigraiton.

Mitt Romney
I believe a vote for Mitt Romney would be a vote you would not regret.
As governor of Massachusetts, Mitt Romney vetoed legislation that would have given in-state tuition to illegal aliens. On the other hand, Mike Huckabee supported in-state tuition and college scholarships for illegal aliens while governor of Arkansas.
Mitt Romney opposed driver licenses while a governor. Mike Huckabee supported driver licenses for illegal aliens while a governor.
Mitt Romney supported English immersion in public schools.
Mitt Romney supports Section 287(g) training for state and local law enforcement officers.
Mitt Romney supports construction of a border fence with Mexico.
Mitt Romney opposes amnesty.
Mitt Romney leads the delegate count on the GOP and can win the nomination.
Mitt Romney has been endorsed by two of the strongest opponents of illegal immigration in this country, Rep. Tom Tancredo of Colorado and Sheriff Joe Arpaio of Arizona.
If you vote for Mitt Romney, you won't have to be voting against a candidate, you will be voting for a candidate that secure the borders and oppose amnesty for illegal aliens.

Hey sendthemback, if you're in Michigan, then you've gotta be looking at Mitt Romney. After my candidate, Tom Tancredo, decided to pull the plug and endorse Mitt, I've done my own investigation of his issues and so far I like what I've seen. Especially after last Saturday night's ABC debate, I feel like he would be an awesome President.
Then Fred Thompson had a great showing at the South Carolina debate. He really knocked down Huckabee a peg or two. Loved it.
Right now my favorite combination is a Romney/Thompson ticket.

I see on Fred's website that he's currently trying to fill up the red truck with donations to reach $1 million by the 14th. So far he's raised $848,890. Looks like he'll probably make it.
I heard on talk radio that Mitt raised $5 million in one day this week.
