Please order the new book written by Cong. Tom Tancredo
Here is a link to the unofficial Tom Tancredo for President
blog that features the cover of a book written by Cong.
Tancredo that will be released on October 4, 2005:
http://tancredo4prez.blogspot.com/ . The book is
entitled "Open Borders, Open Wounds: What America
Needs to Know About Illegal Immigration." By ordering the
book after using the link to Amazon.com on this blog, it
allows the owner of this blog to receive a very small
remuneration from Amazon.com. I plan to order the book
through the link at this blog to show my support for this
blog.

Don't know if I can afford to buy it, I just hope my local libary will carry it. After all I do live in his district. Thanks for the update tancredofan! Didn't even know he was coming out with a book. If it is a really good book (should be) I just might have to save and buy.

tom
Love the Guy...he went to bat for me, long story(posted here, under "double standards and racism" I believe, that involves of all things, immigration, from the legal perspective.
However, since he(Tom) talked about nuking mecca, he is unelectable in the eastern US. That's my take, he's over. cheers glenn

He was given a scenario by the radio host in which Islamic terrorists explode nuclear weapons in six (6), seven (7) or eight U.S. cities. Cong. Tancredo said that our government might consider threatening to take out Islamic holy sites if such an attack occurred and that if such an attack did occur, our government might need to carry out such a threat.
I do not believe that those comments will cause any damage to Cong. Tancredo's presidential chances. In fact, I believe a majority of Americans would agree with his comments. Further, I also believe a majority of Americans are far more concerned about electing a leader that will secure our borders from the illegal entry of Islamic terrorists than about comments made concerning a possible way to prevent a hypothetical nuclear attack. I don't know of anyone who has supported the idea of Cong Tancredo being elected president, who now will not support because of those comments.

political reality
Believe what you want, this is America.
He is a Colorado Republican, opposed to globalization and illegal immigration.
Strike one.
We'll see if he retains his seat in his own state. Many in CO. love the illegals, especially the rich that finance elections and business people. The illegals are building their multi-million dollar mansions in Vail and Aspen.
Strike two
Many don't believe in Islamic terrorism once we get the hell out of the area and stop trying to rule their Countries by deception and force. Any statements like Tom made, about nuking, will totally turn off this large segment of the voting public, Eastern liberals won't touch the guy, no matter what. Plus, who is to say that such nonsense would not lead to those who have nukes using the opportunity to obliterate us. Think it, don't say it, best of all, don't do it.
Strike three.
In my view, supporting him as President is a waste. Even he knows it.

I think, from a military point of view, that we need to pick a few states and defend them and make them illegal-free zones and then start on the other states one at a time.
Starting with the four state at the southern border. Except California. I say abandon CAlifornia, ge teh MinuteMen out as refugees and help them relocate, and build a wall/fence/moat/ betwen California and Arizona.
Arizona does not publicly fund day labor centers.
Arizona does not give illegals driver's licenses.
Arizona does not give ONLY criminals the right to self-defense
Arizona does not give ONLY criminals the right to carry guns with practicality.
Tancredo and Haynes too for that matter would be better off coming to Arizona and running for office here. Spreading ourselves all over the country we're gona LOSE LOSE LOSE.

amazing
William; I am seeing amazing things this week!
I think we are witnessing the disintegration of the Feds under bush. FEMA is exposed as not very good, you see.
Any appeal to this entity(feds) to stop illegal immigration seems pointless. Time for the Governors to step up to the plate, and defend their respective States.
States Rights in the absence of any central leadership seems only logical. The people will support whoever it is that can get the job done. It is that bad, and has been allowed to drift that far.
Castro is even making boosh look bad! The solidarity shown by him, Chavez and Latin America feeds into the idea that the lower classes are abandoned by the elites in America. The socialists and communists are more than willing to exploit the rift. I can hear the tramping of illegals in the background, they will fix the mess in the delta! Very alarming.
Aren't all the Border Patrol agents sent to the swamp?
What are we to see in the next midterms? Be specific. Thank you. Where(what districts) shall we focus our efforts? Point this cannon in the appropriate direction. cheers glenn

You will see candidates emerging all across America that are aware of the public's attitudes on this issue and challenge those that are not aware or detached.
By the end of the race in most cases, every candidate will be singing the same song "I'm your immigration enforcer."
The public will need outside groups to help them decide who is the most honest on the issue.
The game escalates once someone starts it. Tit for tat with each candidate starting to one up the other till a balance with public attitudes is finally achieved.
