SPRINGDALE — Several Northwest Arkansas residents attended a workshop at the Jones Center for Families on Monday to learn the process of becoming a U. S. citizen.


The workshop was the first of three hosted by the Arkansas Citizenship Coalition. Frank Head, executive director of Catholic Charities and Immigration Services in Springdale, said the goal of the workshops is to help legal, permanent U. S. residents attain citizenship, a process he described as extremely complicated but worthwhile.

He urged residents who are eligible to apply for citizenship to go ahead and start the process.
