If they give them amnesty, then they will receive a minimum wage and higher, then they will get the goodies of citizenship, then they will get the protections, then who will do the jobs that these illegal aliens will not do? More illegal aliens, and the cycle continues. It is about cheap labor, and once you raise these laborers up to the level and compensation of citizen workers, what will these businesses and corporations do?
2 Chronicles 7:14Matthew 19:26
But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.

Lets not jump to conclusions yet.
McCain was abandoned by the press that he once called his "base".
McCain was abandoned by Hispanics, whom he pandered to and was the lead in the amnesty movement.
There is a chance that these facts didn't go unnoticed. He may still advocate amnesty and guest workers, but that could have changed.
we are definatly weaker after this election, but lets not have a defeatist attitude. Just like some Republicans favor amnesty, there are some Democrates that are against it.

Amnesty will come up again but I believe that the Congress will reign in Obama due to the economy. Amnesty could spell further economic disaster and I think even the Dems. are intelligent enough to recognize this. Even the Dems. have a survival instinct and know that Americans would come out of the woodwork against it.

Amnesty just may end up on the back burner for a few more years until the economy starts to recover, and unemployed Americans are willing to do those "jobs Americans won't do."
