Thread: Preparing for battle getting congress. staff contact info

Hello everyone.

I am getting ready to rejoin to the full fight and work to beat back the approaching illegal alien invasion amnesty/treason.

I am looking to buy, process the Congressional Staff contact information so activists can do a whole lot more than just "White Your Congressman" - these generic e-mails rarely get read, and best they counted up in totals of how many people are for or against some piece of legislation.

But, when we have the specific Congressional staff contact information, we can ask for lower level staff members BY NAME and do very effective 1 to 1 contacting and follow up with e-mails and faxes that are personal, will be read.

The information is costly, but I bit the bullet and purchased it last time and I feel this information was extremely helpful in enabling activists to defeat the shamnesty last time.

I would like to put up a web site with the congressional staff contact information for each state.

Are there any other activists who would like to participate in this project?

You must have ALIPAC confused with some other group. We do not send generic e-mails and we encourage our supporters to individualize all communications to congress and focus on phone calls and written letters for maximum effect

Also, there's not a purchasable directory for Congressional staff. We encourage our activists to secure those contacts on an individual basis and to not let them get out.

Congressional staff e-mail changes regularly once they get out and get overly used.

Yes, absolutely. I want to join up and I wouldn't say "hunker down", I would say gear up for successful battle.

I have had a lot of success in this area, I pick my battles and fight the right way to win:

Worked successfully on the recall effort of California Governor Gray Davis for offering to give illegal aliens CA Drivers Licenses.

Worked on 3 victorious, hotly contested San Diego Congressional races for Con Brian Bilbray - immigration control our most important/effective issue. Rep. Bilbray is very strong for us on this.

Helped defeat the last Kennedy/McCain mass amnesty.

I have lots of campaign, movement experience and would love to share this experience with others who want to fight to win, instead of just ranting and throwing up their hands and saying:

"It's hopeless, we're doomed".

I agree that ALIPAC does very good work and I note that ALPAC does try to provide specific contact information at the state level and encourages activists to write person, unique letters and make the phone calls. I also really like some of the videos ALIPAC put up on Youtube - especially the one showing Lindsey Graham groveling and worshipping Ted Kennedy.

I purchased excellent, downloadable Congressional staff directories 2 years ago, the service is still being offered, the price is higher, so I doubt they can sell it >$650 for one year subscription, if they don't give up to date Congressional staff contact info.

I have found that calling the local offices work best and following up with e-mails c.c to other staff.

The local offices have young, less corrupt staff members who's job it is to listen to regular constituents. The folks in Washington are much more insulated, bought off.

I was going to wait until late January to purchase the list, start the service as I feel that America doesn't do anything until the Superbowl is over.

You are right that we are going to need to update it in January.

We have been using the most up to date contact information for Congress and the Senate.

If you get a list of congressional staffers, just remember that any template emails or automated systems will quickly become blocked by their internal software.

I have spent years working inside the offices of campaigns and lawmakers and I have to caution everyone that mass emailing and actually getting through is tough.

ALIPAC and ALIPAC activists played a central role in providing the strategies and activist efforts that stopped Amnesty in 2006 and 2007.

Our state efforts are simply where we have focused our efforts since then.

This contact lists is OK, provide Federal, State and Local offices numbers for the Senators and Congressmen - but, the list doesn't give the names, contact info of the actual staff members who run the office, handle constituent relations.

It works so much better to have the contact information Name, title, Phone, e-mail of the staff, especially the local staff and call up and ask specifically for the staff members by name:

This specific Congressional staff info get be purchased, I did last time, it is constantly updated as staff changes are made.

I think I am up for doing this again, it's expensive and takes a lot of time to access, download, but I think I am up for it as long as immigration control activists here and other places make a commitment to use the information wisely and not spam, do mass e-mailings.

It's a 1 -1, person contact approach, with intelligent personal follow up-e-mails and faxes.

This contact lists is OK, provides Federal, State and Local offices numbers for the Senators and Congressmen - but, the list doesn't give the names, contact info of the actual staff members who run the office, handle constituent relations.

It works so much better to have the contact information Name, title, Phone, e-mail of the staff, especially the local staff and call up and ask specifically for the staff members by name:

This specific Congressional staff info can be purchased, I did last time, it is constantly updated as staff changes are made.

I think I am up for doing this again, it's expensive and takes a lot of time to access, download, but I think I am up for it as long as immigration control activists here and other places make a commitment to use the information wisely and not spam, do mass e-mailings.

It's a 1 -1, person contact approach, with intelligent personal follow up-e-mails and faxes.
