President-Elect Trump Appoints Stephen Miller Senior Advisor to the President for Policy

President-Elect Donald J. Trump has announced his selection of Stephen Miller, a top aide to his campaign, as the new senior White House adviser for policy.

Miller has served as the top adviser on policy for the Trump campaign since January of 2016 and directed the campaign’s entire policy operation since then. Miller also served as the chief speechwriter and heads policy for Trump’s transition team.
The President-elect said in a statement:

Stephen played a central and wide-ranging role in our primary and general election campaign. He is deeply committed to the America First agenda, and understands the policies and actions necessary to put that agenda into effect. He is a strong advocate for protecting American workers, and will fulfill a crucial role in my Administration as my senior advisor on matters of policy.

Miller previously worked for Alabama Senator Jeff Sessions and played a major role in many policy debates during his time in Congress, including budget debates, multiple Supreme Court and lower court confirmation efforts, and the formulation of a pro-worker agenda on trade and migration policy.


In June Sessions praised Miller saying, “When it comes to issues and messaging and policy, there isn’t anybody else that I’ve known that would be as valuable to a presidential campaign as he.”


“Stephen Miller is the best person President-elect Donald Trump could have chosen to be his senior advisor for policy,” Sessions added in the statement released by the transition team. “He has understood the Trump Movement from the beginning and has a unique understanding of the very real and honest concerns of the American people.”


“I am deeply honored for the opportunity to serve the President-elect, and to focus efforts to develop critical policies that serve the national interest,” Miller said in the statement. “A Trump administration will focus unremittingly on the safety, security and economic well being of working Americans.”

Oh my goodness, this is OUTSTANDING!! Great choice. I love Stephen Miller. He reads our forum. I know that because I wrote a post about not surrendering our country to the "false song of globalism" and it ended up one of Miller's and then Trump's speeches.

Senator Sessions is my favorite pick by President Elect Trump. Stephen Miller is my next favorite pick. The two of them are so strong against illegal immigration.

Ann Coulter said that she will sleep better now that Stephen Miller is Senior Advisor.

President-elect Donald Trump’s transition team announced Tuesday that Stephen Miller, a former Alabama Sen. Jeff Sessions staffer and immigration hawk, will serve as his senior advisor for policy.

Miller joined Trump’s campaign in January and oversaw his policy operation, and served as Trump’s chief speechwriter. In his White House role he will also manage speechwriting and be directing White House policy staff.
“Stephen played a central and wide-ranging role in our primary and general election campaign. He is deeply committed to the America First agenda, and understands the policies and actions necessary to put that agenda into effect,” President-elect Trump said in a statement.

Miller said in a statement: “I am deeply honored for the opportunity to serve the President-elect, and to focus efforts to develop critical policies that serve the national interest. A Trump administration will focus unremittingly on the safety, security and economic well being of working Americans.”

Miller came to Trump’s campaign from Sen. Sessions’ office where he worked as communications director. Politico reported in June that Miller was instrumental in Sessions’ effort to defeat immigration reform in 2013. Miller also previously worked for former Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann.

Sen. Sessions said in a statement, “Stephen Miller is the best person President-elect Donald Trump could have chosen to be his senior advisor for policy.”

“In the seven years he served with me, I was constantly amazed at his ability to quickly to absorb and master information. His talents will be so important in the days to come. I am very proud of Stephen for proving himself so well throughout this campaign and very happy that President-elect Trump will continue to have his loyal and proven friend at his side,” Sessions added.

When Trump’s campaign announced in January that Miller would be joining as a policy advisor, Ann Coulter said, “I’M IN HEAVEN!” The conservative author told TheDC Tuesday afternoon, “We’re one step closer to my dream of having Stephen Miller run the country.”
