I've read there is a drug resistant TB coming in from South of the Border, that Asians have Hepatitis C, that there is dengue fever, polio, malaria,
and now a new one that they really aren't saying it came from immigrants, but it's in the most heavily populated areas here...oh, leprosy is here too!

    disease

    Carrie92121,

Saw the same problems , as Zach 1776 in the ER with patients from Haiti, the islands, and Central and So. America. Can't give you numbers, and am shutting down,...been up since 2 AM working on this,...

But tomorrow, I'll try to get some stats for you if no one else can come up with them first. You've got 3 hrs on me. Right?

So I'll check this post in the AM.

Wash hands, don't let anyone cough in your face. Try to maintain some personal space, but I've noticed that unAmericanized Hispanics, at least here in Miami, come right up to you. Inches.
    TIME'S UP!

    Diseases are abounding

The reality of the situation is simple.....diseases that used to be kept in check are coming across our borders most notably our southern one where people are uneducated and live in filth. People south of our border can acquire drugs without a prescription to self treat their problems and in many cases this produces drug resistant diseases. An especially serious one is drug resistant TB. Certainly there are others including cholera, Morgellon's disease etc. Our immigration system was designed to thwart this problem and now we are going to face a crisis not only because of the people who are breaking our laws, but are also going to infect us and overwhelm our healthcare system. It has to be stopped.

Viruses and this sort of thing are really interesting. They adapt and mutate and destroy. You really have to have a definate respect for it. They are never gone. It's a waiting period to face the same thing again....just slightly different. Over and over.

I did a Web search but could not find the archived pics or news stories referencing the severe danger of drug-resistant tuberculosis (DRTB).

I was seeking the posters Contra Costa County California placed in areas where illegals lived, requesting they come to the health clinic for treatment of the DRTB that was becoming more common.

Then there was the news story from 6 or so years ago where an illegal alien kid in North Carolina spread DRTB to several American citizen classmates who had to undergo the 8 to 12 month-long treatment that can cost up to $200,000!!!

Another news story was about Denver Colorado where the DRTB was considered to be a crisis. A news story printed before the newspapers there decided to self-censor negative news about illegals had an extensive story of the multi-million-dollar cost to taxpayers in but ONE county for treating illegals with DRTB. What is scary is that one of the doctors in the clinic stated that the majority of illegals treated did NOT keep coming back for the 8-12 months of drug treatment needed to destroy the TB bacillum. Isn't that wonderful, illegals working in restaurants, coughing upon your food. Maybe the news about DRTB is kept scarce due to restaurants being such a major advertiser in the media. Just wait until the word gets out. I predict a steep dropoff for restaurant business when folks learn of the severe threat to their health, perhaps their life!!!!

Another news story from New York was similar to the story from Denver, conveying the same basic info but New York City's expenses were much higher to treat the illegals, when they even bothered to come to the health clinics and for the small percentage that completed the treatments until they could no longer infect others.

I have read many other news stories over the years about the enormous cost to the taxpayer for treating illegals and about citizens infected with the disease. What made me particularly angry was that private citizens often have to pay for their own treatment while illegals get it free!!!! Then, add in the latest congressional changes in the bankruptcy laws making it hard for the commoners to declare bankruptcy...even though fully 50 percent or so of personal bankruptcies are due to unexpected medical expenses.

Illegals are hurting us in so very many ways. Yet, Bush loves 'em. Well, maybe an illegal will cough on him or his food some day. Even then... that child of the elites has the insurance to pay for the treatment and enough funds to survive in fine style while he recuperates. You or I, if infected, depending upon our personal situation, may learn that our being infected by an illegal is a death sentence.

It would be for me, and I could go to my grave with the thought that my kids were homeless, to boot!

I think I'm going to bed, I just can't hang anymore. 18 hours is enough for anyone.

I have worked in a hospital in AZ for 5 years and I can tell you the threat is very real. AT one point last year every employee had to get tested for TB because a whole family of illegals with TB had been walking around the hospital for days because a family member had been admitted. I am working on getting out of the medical field just to get away from the crap that goes on with dealing with illegals and giving them health care for free. I am thinking about getting into a field that wouldn't involve dealing with illegals such as insurance sales.??? LOL!
