Just wondering ....
Do Hispanics not take off for Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, Memorial Day and the 4th of July, like the rest of us?
Many companies close on these days don't they? By not working on these days, has there been a negative effect on the economy of the United States?
We also have a National holiday known as Labor Day where many companies and business don't require their employee’s to work. Do Hispanics work on these days? Does taking off on Labor Day bring our country and it's economy to a screeching halt? Maybe it's just the Mexicans in the United States who work on these days. If immigrants in this country, legal or not legal, are required to work while most American citizens are not, no wonder our economy continues to flourish. Imagine all those people taking care of our countries economy while we American citizens sit around enjoying our time off from work.
Why would the protesters in all these marches think that not showing up for work would make a difference to our country’s economy….more people take off from work for these holidays and still our country does not come to a stop because we aren’t there.
By the way, May 1, is Primero de Mayo is a Mexican national holiday that is equivalent to the U.S. Labor Day, maybe the illegals had the right to take the day off since they don't feel the need to assimilate to American ways.
