I wouldn't put Gilchrist in the same catagory as LaRaza, he is more like a lunatic sideshow that neither side wants to association with!!

But then again, I'm a newbie compared to the majority of Americans for Legal Immigration.

Throwing mud at each other does no one any good. This is more like a popularity contest than a movement or cause. Focus your energy on who the real enemy is, and it's not Gilchrist or Gheen. But divide and conquer is a strategy that La Raza would use to defeat us and gain amnesty. But La Raza doesn't have to, because we're doing it to yourselves. Gilchrist has been seeking self-serving attention since day one.
And it is not being divided and conquered, as you suggest, but winnowing out those with personal motives rather than the common good of this country.

Jim Gilchrist has caused more damage to our cause of securing the borders than La Raza. He openly works with pro illegal alien and pro amnesty groups, he has associated with crazies that reflect poorly on the movement including accused murderess Shawna Forde, and he endorses pro Amnesty candidates like Mike Huckabee.

Jim Gilchrist has alienated every other significant organization in the movement.

This is not a case of ALIPAC Vs. Jim Gilchrist.


This is a case of Jim Gilchrist being rejected by every other organization doing what we do in the nation.

We are not divided, we are quite unified in our rejection of Jim Gilchrist.

Whereas ALIPAC and 80+ organizations have publicly rebuked and barred Jim Gilchrist from the immigration enforcement movement, no other organizations unless you could the husband and wife team of Mountain Minutemen, support Gilchrist.

It is perfectly acceptable, preferred, and desirable for our movement to speak out against anyone that does the insane things Gilchrist does.

Thanks to ALIPAC and other groups on our side, and posts like this one, we stopped Jim Gilchrist, Glenn Spencer, and their border operations manager Shawna Forde from dragging the entire immigration enforcement movement down with her lie about being raped prior to her being accused of double homicide.

It was ALIPAC that stopped that fake rape story and those fake pictures circulated by Forde, Gilchrist, and Spencer from infecting or duping other activists and groups in our movement.

Glad we did it. We will keep doing it. And anyone that thinks we should not reject someone like Jim Gilchrist needs to find another place to hang out over there with his four remaining wingnuts nobody else will associate with.

Right On!!

William let's be honest here, those 80 organizations don't all really exist anymore. You and I both know that MANY are now defunct and/or only consist of one person to begin with. But it does make is sound good to quote there are 80.

And having a cheering section is nice for the ego, yet it's those that actually do the work by lobbying or getting out in the streets that are the real heroes. The battle of egos or what every 'name' you want to give it, is not in the interest of the cause and discredits all those that have worked so hard to bring the issue of illegal immigration to the forefront.

William you have done more than your share of the effort, and deserve to be applauded for it, but you didn't do it alone and neither did Gilchrist. Your bashing each other shows a lack of respect for those of us who are in the background and have done nothing to deserve the damage the infighting is causing.

This is not about a squabble between those leading the anti-illegal immigration cause. It's not about you William or Jim, it's about getting the next amnesty stopped. And with the White House repacked with open boarders sympathizers, we will have a battle like never before.

I'm not saying the two of you need to hold hands and sing kumaya together, but it does no one any good to continue discrediting other because it lands up discrediting us all.

And by the way, you did a very nice job of handling Lou Dobbs on the radio the other day. My hat is off to you. That's what a leader should do and is the kind of stuff that will put us ahead.
