    Representative's Funding Shot down

    As i watch C-Span:
Representative Meyers (D-TX, Elpaso) today proposed an ammendment to the DOH funding in the house. The ammendment as he clearly stated would be used specifically for expanind bed space and capacity to hold captured illegal immigrants to end 'catch and release'.

A repbulican congressman stood up and rejected the idea, it was killed.

Shortly after a republican from NY proposed a few funding decreases in the bill and an increase that would go to large cities like NY to pay for some anti-terrorism cost. The same republican that damned the idea of R-Meyers commended the ammendment and it passed favorably.

Sheriff Arpaio should be given the task of designing prisons for holding detained illegal aliens. The catch and release policy is not much deterent but the possibility of being caught and incercerated in a tent may keep people from crossing.
I support enforcement and see its lack as bad for the 3rd World as well. Remittances are now mostly spent on consumption not production assets. Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

in the 1850's and 1860's, the southern states were being economically harmed through tariff taxes that protected the northern industrialist. -- the south funding approximately 75% of the treasury but the funds were appropriated to the north.

NOW, the border states are losing out for vital border security that affects the whole country
