i wonder the specific language used in order to get 81 percent.
and how the ethnic and racial background it was divided upon.
i mean i can see 81 if the only people polled were dems, or maybe all of em were latino/hispanic.
but i dont see 81 if you ask the simple question.
do you favor amnesty for illegal aliens.

The fine print from the "CNN Poll."
But the survey indicates that 57 percent of Americans say the main focus of the federal government in dealing with the issue of illegal immigration should be developing a plan that would stop the flow of illegal immigrants into the country and deporting those already in the U.S. That's 15 points higher than the 42 percent who say developing a plan that would allow illegal immigrants who have jobs to become U.S. residents should be Washington's top priority.A Nation Without Borders Is Not A Nation - Ronald Reagan

35. What should be the main focus of the U.S. government in dealing with the issue of illegal immigration -- developing a plan that would allow illegal immigrants who have jobs to become legal U.S. residents, or developing a plan for stopping the flow of illegal immigrants into the U.S. and for deporting those already here?

Allow to become legal residents 38%
Stop illegals/deport those here 60%

How could things completely turn around from May to July? CNN is manipulating polls.Certified Member
