I sometimes wonder what people think, how did this happen. McCain lost every debate he was in, he isn't a closet liberal, he wears his liberal badge loud and proud.

How were so many voters pulled into McCain's corner? Maybe the hardcore republican base may indeed be shrinking, even if we are louder than most.
