This is actually a very significant article. If Barr is turning on Obama, it means that large swaths of the left may be joining the right in condemnation of the National Defense Authorization Act. There may be real hope for America yet if we can gain consensus against the Global elites and their servants like Bush and Obama.. aka BushObama.
This should not be surprising. The ACLU came out strongly against the indefinite detainment provisions of the bill. You would think that anyone with an ounce of sense would perceive the threat to all of us inherent in this provision. Oddly enough, this was pushed by the GOP, including so-called staunch conservatives. This was the same group that rammed through the original Patriot Act, which in my opinion is actually an Un-Patriotic Act. They feel the need to be able to usurp the Constitutional rights of any US citizen in the name of security, while simultaneously labeling common-sense profiling of non-US citizen members of known groups that foment terrorism and denial of human rights as somehow Unconstitutional. This is one more glaring example of the utter failure of our two-party political system., which is now totally unchecked and unbalanced.
