Hillary Calls For Gun Control
Hillary Calls For Gun Control
May 6, 2014 by Personal Liberty News Desk
Hillary Clinton, wife of the President who signed the Public Safety and Recreational Firearms Use Protection Act into law in 1994, made it known in plain language today that her feelings toward gun control haven’t changed over the past 20 years.
Speaking at a conference for the National Council for Behavioral Health in Washington, D.C., Clinton said it’s a fallacy to think that “anybody anywhere” has the right to bear arms.
“We’re way out of balance,” said Clinton. “We have to rein in what has almost become an article of faith that anybody anywhere can own a gun.” She further reinforced her remarks by citing permissive laws in some States and cities that allow people to carry firearms in businesses and on the campuses of schools – although she didn’t mention the correlation between “gun-free” cities or restricted-carry areas and increased incidences of violent crimes involving firearms.
Here’s a video of how one gun owner carrying his firearm in a public place (the parking lot of a discount store in Houston, Texas) abused his 2nd Amendment freedom last week:

Guess What Hillary Clinton Just Said About Gun Laws?
By Steve Straub On May 6, 2014 · 390 Comments · In US, Video
We know that Hillary Clinton would be a gun-grabber and try to restrict gun-rights if elected, after all she is a Democrat!
Via The National Journal:
Hillary Clinton has mostly steered clear of contentious domestic political issues in recent years, but on Tuesday, she said gun laws need to be reined in.
Speaking at a National Council for Behavioral Health conference outside of Washington, Clinton was asked about the role guns play in suicides. While Clinton said she supports Second Amendment rights, she added that there needs to be a proper trade-off between safety and freedom, and that things have swung too far toward the latter.
“I think again we’re way out of balance. We’ve got to rein in what has become almost an article of faith that almost anybody can have a gun anywhere at any time. And I don’t believe that is in the best interest of the vast majority of people,” she said.
She referred to recent high-profile incidents of minor disputes in movie theaters or parking lots that escalated into lethal shootings, saying, “That’s what happens in the countries I’ve visited that have no rule of law.”
She decried new laws proliferating across the country that allow people to carry weapons in churches, bars, and other public places, saying that they will only lead to more deadly violence that could otherwise be avoided. “At the rate we’re going, we’re going to have so many people with guns,” she continued, “in settings where … [they] decide they have a perfect right to defend themselves against the gum chewer or the cell-phone talker.”
Watch this short clip from 2007 when Hillary Clinton talks about her views on the Second Amendment and gun control:
In your opinion will laws that allow people to carry weapons in churches, bars, and other public places lead to more or less gun violence?

Yes, she said that. This via Herman Cain's website:

Hillary Clinton: Rein in Guns
By Associated Press May 7, 2014
WASHINGTON (AP) -- Hillary Rodham Clinton says the nation's gun culture has gotten "way out of balance." She tells a mental health conference that the U.S. needs to rein in the notion that "anybody can have a gun, anywhere, anytime."
The potential 2016 Democratic presidential candidate says the idea that anyone can have a gun is not in the "best interest of the vast majority of people." But she says that doesn't conflict with the rights of people to own firearms.
Clinton spoke Tuesday at the National Council for Behavioral Health conference in Oxon Hill, Maryland.
The Democratic-controlled Senate voted against legislation pushed by President Barack Obama last year that would have expanded background checks for firearm purchases to gun shows and online sales. The legislation came in the aftermath of the deadly Sandy Hook elementary school shootings in Connecticut.

Hillary Clinton Speaks Against Gun and Carry Rights (Scare Tactics Included)

Presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton is already declaring a war against gun rights. Speaking at a conference for the National Council for Behavioral Health, Clinton argued against what she calls “gun culture,” saying things are out of control.
Clinton said a culture where “anybody can have a gun” will lead to a country with “no rule of law and no self-control.” The former secretary of state warned that unrestricted access to guns could have dangerous consequences. She called the country’s approach to the Second Amendment “way out of balance.”
“I think that we’ve got to rein in what has become an almost article of faith that anybody can have a gun anywhere, anytime. And I don’t believe that is in the best interest of the vast majority of people. And I think you can say that and still support the right of people to own guns,” Clinton said.
She used scare tactics, warning that, “At the rate we’re going, we’re going to have so many people with guns everywhere, fully licensed, fully validated, in settings where [one] could be in a movie theater, and they don’t like someone chewing gum loudly or talking on their cell phone and decide they have the perfect right to defend themselves against the gum chewer or cell phone user by shooting. That’s what happens in the countries I’ve visited where there’s no rule of law.”
Clinton said the loose restrictions on gun carrying can “give someone the means to respond in the moment in a way that he wouldn’t if a few minutes passed and there was no means to inflict harm … We really have got to get our arms around this.”
What Clinton fails to mention is the rate of violent crime is almost non-existent among those that carry firearms legally.

She is really starting to look like her ideas, old and worn out.
CNN WORRIES HILLARY CLINTON MAY HAVE JEOPARDIZED RUN WITH GUN CONTROL STATEMENTS
by AWR HAWKINS
7 May 2014
On May 7th CNN's John King played a video of Hillary Clinton saying, "We have to rein in what has become [an] almost article of faith, that anybody can have a gun anywhere, [at] any time."
King quickly added, "She's talking in the context of mental health," but then he expressed obvious concern that this soundbite is going to make a great anti-Hillary commercial in southern Ohio, Florida, Colorado, and North Carolina, among other places.
As Breitbart News reported earlier on May 7th, Hillary was not talking about mental health issues at this point but about "fully licensed" and "fully validated" gun owners. She said so herself.
King then asked CNN correspondent Peter Hamby for comment, and Hamby said:
Translation: Yep, Hillary really stepped in it this time.
What struck me about this is, having covered Hillary Clinton during the 2008 Democrat primary, when she was really fighting from behind and sort of adopting that blue collar, working class mantle, she talked a lot about how important guns are in the American fabric [and] in our culture. To me this was a pretty big rhetorical distance from that time, but a lot has changed since then... And to your point [John], in some competitive states I think there are pockets where guns are important and this is going to be something of an issue for her I think.

Hillary Clinton: 'Fully Licensed, Fully Validated' Gun Owners Can't Be Trusted

Will Hillary Clinton Run for President in...
May 6 (Bloomberg) -- Bloomberg's Lisa Lerer discusses the possibility of Hillary Clinton running for president in 2016 on Bloomberg Television's "Street Smart." (Source: Bloomberg)
Video at the Page Link:
On May 6th, Hillary Clinton gave a speech at a National Council for Behavioral Health conference in which she suggested that "fully licensed" and "fully validated" gun owners cannot be trusted to make sound decisions regarding gun usage.
According to Politico, Clinton's said:At the rate we're going, we're going to have so many people with guns everywhere, fully licensed, fully validated, in settings where [one] could be in a movie theater, and they don't like someone chewing gum loudly or talking on their cell phone and decide they have the perfect right to defend themselves against the gun chewer or cell phone user by shooting. As Breitbart News reported, Clinton also criticized lenient gun laws in her May 6th speech. Saying the idea "that almost anyone can have a gun anywhere at any time" has "become almost an article of faith."
She suggested that this is not beneficial and that gun laws need to be "reined in."
