Well, our own House of Lords doesn't have to hear anything they don't want to. With an over 90% re-election rate, why should they?

They know that they could have a group photograph taken of them handing over our nuclear arsenal to the Chinese and they'd still get re-elected, with overwhelming media support.

Maybe because it is fundamentally flawed in a major way - the only thing they understand. MONEY. This will destroy the country financially.

Cornyn's staff tells me time and again he is against the bill as written. He has an amendment (one article said 20!) that may break the coalition.

You have to think like a Kennedy. They may be almost as happy to let it all blow up because in THEIR looney minds it makes Bush look bad because he "failed." Just a thought. Not saying they wouldn't be happier with the bill, but that they may have calculated an exit strategy as well (and we know Bush never has an exit strategy!)

Rush will never come out and say "call" on an issue. This is his way of saying "Keep the heat on, keep calling!"

OH GREAT! LAMAR ALEXANDER of TN is being mentioned. 150 at event. Man asked for show of hands who against the bill - All went up. Who for the bill - None went up. Alexander said bill will secure the border. Oh how wonderful he is getting his ear full.

My notes on Rush are similar to yours:

Rush Limbaugh (6/4) just blasted the WaPo poll & report and the belief that some of the pols think that the opposition to the amnesty is "turning around." Rush doesn't see this at all, thinks the opposite is occurring and mentioned the Washington Times report that said among conservatives, opposition to the amnesty bill is a fundraising WINNER. He believes this is just an attempt by the media, the Dems and the GOP, to marginalize conservatives as a bunch of "yahoos." He also mentioned that the internals of the poll don't look good for people proposing amnesty, noted the misleading questions (e.g, no fines would be collected).

Rush is still blasting the amnesty bill, SO KEEP UP YOUR CALLS, prove Kyl, Flake et al wrong!
