I personally think this whole charade of trying to create a crime over someone telling the truth during an election campaign in the United States is hilarious. This is all about Wikileaks and the release of John Podesta's emails. Yes, the hacking of the DNC was wrong, so is every other incident of hacking. All of our computers have been hacked in one way or another. Viruses, spyware, malware, etc., etc., etc. we've all had it. It's wrong, it's a serious crime, that no one really does anything about. Maybe they can't. I don't know but it's a serious weakness in our technologies that run the software, and email servers and IP information and a whole variety of weaknesses. Microsoft should have done better given the trillions they made off their monopolistic operating systems.

But the John Podesta emails revealed the truth, the manner in which it came out was wrong and criminal, but it was the truth. Since when is the truth however it comes out is something to be feared? Why is revealing the truth an "information warfare"? How does truth interfere in our democracy? How is the truth an attack on America?

If you commit a CRIME and tell the truth it's still a CRIME

just like when you commit a crime and lie about it.

No one so far who told the truth committed a crime. The only crime in any of this is the hacking itself of the DNC computer. No different than whoever hacked Trump's state tax returns in New Jersey a while back and whoever hacked his 2005 federal income tax return. No ones got their panties in a bunch over those "CRIMES".

I don't hear any DemoQuacks wailing that these CRIMES "interfered with our democracy" or that it was "information warfare".

Again, I just think it's funny, hilarious in fact, that people think John Podesta's emails had anything to do with our democracy whether we saw them or not.

The whole thing seems to revolve around the persistent belief that somehow the Russians a source of evil in the world's affairs. They imagine that the old Cold War reactions in the public somehow fixated on the Russians. Unfortunately, those old enough to remember recall that it wasn't about the Russians, it was supposed to be about communism. Communism ended all arguments about a lot of geopolitics.

Time has marched on and Communism is dead in Eastern Europe, but still the Russians are the villains. Meanwhile communism lives in Asia, but that's not a problem apparently. The People's Republic of China owns a big piece of our economy and even stranger, people announce in sober tones that China isn't even really communist.

Go figure.
