    SAVE ACT Where's Ron Paul? Not stepping up to the plate

    If illegal immigration is important to you and you support Ron Paul, you better think twice. I have already figured him out in this area and he’s not what you think.

    For him not jumping in and being a co-sponsor shows where he truly stands on this issue.

    I tend to agree with you .

    I think the charm most have with Paul is the romance of the Constitution .

    I am also for upholding whats left of our Constitution if we could get someone to get the highjacking claws of the ACLU and their allies CAIR ,NOI, NAACP and other socialist type groups out of it .

    I would like to see a new non racial orgaization come to power and legally wipe out the others . You can't do this with all the lobbies for them and none for America .

    Cival Coalition of Americans for America ! CCAA . or something like that .

    hahahaha...

    Do you all PM eachother and say

    "ok, I am gonna post an untrue comment and then we all dive on it and smear Ron Paul's name"

    hahahhaha..

    You all are very predictable.

    HERE IS RON PAUL'S POSITIONS.

    There are A LOT of nuances on why Ron votes one way or the other. For example, there has been a border fence bill that he voted against. Some here would say "HE LOVE ILLEGALS! SEE, HE VOTED AGAINST THE FENCE".

    Yet, when you actually read the bill -- there is a provision that imposes the 'REAL ID" -- or something along those lines. So, whereas Hunter or Tancredo might vote irrepsective of what is "porked" onto a bill, Ron Paul reads the WHOLE bill and votes against it because there is usually something in any particular bill that violates civil rights. Look at the Patriot Act -- a good example. Most jumped on that and say "YEAH!!!" but if you read it.. goodbye the Constitution, which is really just saying "good by sovereignty" --- which is odd, because many of these same people believe in America's sovereignty. Weird.

    Anyways, if you want to know RON PAUL's Stances, hear it from the source, not from the "I fear Ron Paul brigade":

    I guess the Constitution has Ron Paul's "pork" as Constitutionial since he had over 400million in earmarks last year

    Well, I think Paul wants to remove some individual rights of citizens.

    He wants to pull the plug on SSI, which is ridiculous, because, poor and middle class will not be able to manage their money and save for retirement. He is too extreme with wanting no Government intervention in the Healthcare Industry. They will just continue to take us down with high costs.

    He is not strong enough on the illegal issue.

    Why did Ron Paul vote for a resolution recognizing Ramadan

    Why did Ron Paul vote for a resolution recognizing the commencement of Ramadan?

    Where is recognizing the commencement of Ramadan in the U.S. Constitution?

    http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/D?c ... 110S0jyV3::

    RESOLUTION
    Recognizing the commencement of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting and spiritual renewal, and commending Muslims in the United States and throughout the world for their faith.

    Whereas since the terrorist attacks on the United States on September 11, 2001, threats and incidents of violence have been directed at law-abiding, patriotic Americans of African, Arab, and South Asian descent, particularly members of the Islamic faith;

    Whereas, on September 14, 2001, the House of Representatives passed a concurrent resolution condemning bigotry and violence against Arab-Americans, American Muslims, and Americans from South Asia in the wake of the terrorist attacks;

    Whereas it is estimated that there are approximately 1,500,000,000 Muslims worldwide;

    Whereas Ramadan is the holy month of fasting and spiritual renewal for Muslims worldwide, and is the 9th month of the Muslim calendar year; and

    Whereas the observance of the Islamic holy month of Ramadan commences at dusk on September 13, 2007, and continues for one lunar month: Now, therefore, be it

    Resolved, That--

    (1) during this time of conflict, in order to demonstrate solidarity with and support for members of the community of Islam in the United States and throughout the world, the House of Representatives recognizes the Islamic faith as one of the great religions of the world; and

    (2) in observance of and out of respect for the commencement of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting and spiritual renewal, the House of Representatives acknowledges the onset of Ramadan and expresses its deepest respect to Muslims in the United States and throughout the world on this significant occasion.

    Ron Paul's $400 Million Earmarks
    Monday, August 06, 2007

    By Brit Hume

    E-MAIL STORY PRINTER FRIENDLY VERSION
    Now some fresh pickings from the Political Grapevine:

    Pet Projects

    Texas congressman and Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul — who is campaigning as a critic of congressional overspending — has revealed that he is requesting $400 million worth of earmarks this year.

    The Wall Street Journal reports Paul's office says those requests include $8 million for the marketing of wild American shrimp and $2.3 million to pay for research into shrimp fishing.

    A spokesman says, "Reducing earmarks does not reduce government spending, and it does not prohibit spending upon those things that are earmarked. What people who push earmark reform are doing is they are particularly misleading the public — and I have to presume it's not by accident."

    If you are 'really' into getting Ron Paul's issue on Social Security issue correct, please see this:

    You would find that Ron Paul is probably the BEST candidate if this is your concern.
