I'ts official, I am supporting my first political Candidate!

I haven't been a posting member for very log, but I have been a ALIPAC lurker for a few years. ( I was a minutemen 5 year ago).
anyway, I was driven to post by a political candidate that pissed me off, he made it personal. now I am getting involved with MY Local polotics. (a few members urged me).

Through ICaucus, I found Tim Donnelly, running for 59th CA Assembly.
Tim was the State leader for the largest minutemen group in CA five years ago. He was the front man getting all the flack from the media and the illegal supporters.
Tim has written many articles for ALIPAC throughout the years, and has now asked me keep him apprised of what patriots like us are talking about on ALIPAC and other various websites.

For all those ALIPAC members who reside in Southern CA, Tim is having a fundraiser event after all the tea party events on April 15th.
The fundraiser is a shooting event at the Redlands shooting park, located in Redlands CA. (picture that, a shooting event on Tax day)
If you would like meet Tim, or just support Tim this would be a great event for you to attend. (if you dont live in the area, any support would be great, i.e calling people, emailing friends, or just donations.)

YOU can get more information at www.donnellyforassembly.com

    sic n tierd,
I think you were one of the ones who welcomed me to the boards and encouraged me to become active.
I have also been in touch with two sheriff candidates, asking the all important question; "whats your take on illegal immigration?"
I think I have narrowed down the sheriffs candidate that I what to endorse/help.
I need to look into my district supervisor race a little more. the existing incumbent need to go, but upon a cursory look I don't like any of the challengers.
I also have a school board vote that needs attention.
so much to do, so little time

Thank you for what you are doing JustSaying. Local is important. We must work at all levels to get lawmakers, City Councils, candidates, to listen.

    Matthew 19:26
But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.

If it was me, I try and help wherever and however I can. I still don't feel like I do enough, but every little bit helps. If your strength is being face to face (or making phone calls) with candidates, etc....then thats wonderful! I'm more of a behind the scenes worker bee myself. We need more like you and probably less like me.

SicNTiredInSoCal, we need the behind the scenes just as much.
We need good worker bees. They are invaluable.

Thank you all for differing gifts and talents.

I agree... local is the way to go. The corporations and LaRaza's of this world have not infiltrated local politics as much as they have taken control of the Congress.

Start chipping away in the local races, one by one. You might even consider running yourself !!

    sicNtiered,
I am not sure if I am a face to face type person or a behind the scenes type person.
as an example; I saw one of the candidates that I like at the rancho tea party protest, I approached him, told him who I was, and that we had talked online. I basically asked how can I help him without donating money. he said that getting friends together for a coffee (or Tea, HA) and letting him speak is excellent; that's easy enough.
He asked if I would make phone calls and I declined, ( I am still getting used to talking to you guys on the computer)
I could also help by just spreading the word, which I agreed to do.

I also meet a candidate for San Bernardino supreme court, James Hosking
I liked him as a individual, then I liked him even more when he told me who he was running against.
I will get more of the story and tell you guys about it in another thread.
it was good to see fellow patriots at the the tea party's.
