A political action plan in the works
We need to set up a viable political action plan - to mobilize and activate the network to get legislators to take actions and use this document as a basis for action and legislation.
I will post a plan in the next few days after we get more feed back. It is imperative that we strike as soon as possible.

We want and need you input....
We are seeking your input to try and
formulate a real Secure Borders First Act in 2007.
Our representatives need our input in order to take
action, just like the encouragement we gave them to
oppose the CIR; we now need to phone, forward
ideas and encourage them to take actions to secure
the border - that means passing a strong
border security act.
Lamar Smith and Peter King are the points in
the House and Jeff Sessions and Jim DeMint in the Senate.
Formulating a strong, forthright bill will show the left,
socialists, and our critics across this nation, like Linda
Chavez-George Bush-Michael Chertoff-Ted Kennedy coalition
that we do have a viable alternative and it should be
enacted.
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce and other chambers of
commerce are trying to lobby the congress to re-introduce
portions of the defunct CIR to get what they want.
WE have that right to petition our government for action,
the revolution is not over, we can not lay back in the woods,
rest on our laurels. As General Stonewall Jackson taught us,
after the initial strike fragmenting the enemy into its parts is
not the time to rest, rather it is the time to press the fight.
"You are the First Brigade!"
Remember, we are in a republic and we should press the fight
on our behalf, pushing our ideas up to our representatives.
Please leave your ideas on the elements we came up with
and the Secure Borders First Act of 2007.

southernagrarian-
sounds good, I will have a lot of time in the next few evenings, to work on it also.
Im sure some of these are just gimmies that will be blowen away, but the intent is there for them to take action, and make a plan that everyone can understand.

PS: Yes Greenland is a little far out, have a better suggestion? Or are we just going to critize the effort?

Greenland is great
I have to problem with Greenland - in tents. I've been to Nova Scotia and it Greenland is worse, I don't want to be there. Tenets might be harsh but prison is not suppose to be a country club....

There are several references to amnesty that suggest a rapid citizenship granting where the term path to citizenship should also be included.
I to will spend a couple of days going over it but I am not a lawyer. I have a grant writing certificate and studied parliamentary procedure in school years ago.
Use to help put together programs such as crisis lines and big brothers big sisters etc. Yes , even some of the programs you have grown to despise over the years.
A deferent time , a different societal mind set.
Fact is , of all the people that come and post on this site I may very well be one of the few that was asked for help once from Cesar Chavez and had the chance to meet him in person.
I liked him fact of the matter is.
I was a puppy then and he was still fairly young. He came to my office one day and wanted me to endorse a new irrigation project in my state and help him put it together for presentation.
Long story , many years ago.
I am closer to one hundred now then one and just a grumpy old fart. Still , for a noble cause I will help as much as I can with what little I know.

Why don't we just insist they enforce the laws we have - we do not need any others to get most of the job done. Actually all, but there will always be some things ---------
It's just that simple.
If we let them write any more laws, or anything from the Congress other than - "Just enforce the laws" - we are asking for trouble.
We will get another 700 page giveaway with lots of 'ands, buts, exclusions, etc'.
We have what we need already.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

I like it, with a couple of minor thoughts ('bout all I have these days):
1. Group all the similar statements, with security being A1 and immigration particulars last.
2. Is there anyway to make it more succinct? People will glaze over after 10 or so.
3. There are some spelling mistakes that a spell checker would not catch--I assume you will have proofreaders. I bring this up because there will always be martinets who discount the content if there are errors. I will offer my services if you need them.
4. I agree--no Greenland, although I know that was stuck in there for jest.
You have put a lot of work and thought into this well crafted document--kudos and thanks.
