    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

hallelujah! the forces working for foreign interests lost despite their multi-million dollar supporters from industry, politicized major churches, racist anti-American advocacy groups like La Raza and their legions of "immigration" lawyers...... beaten by the passion and dedication of US CITIZENS and legal resident aliens...

Kennedy, the emblematic misfit since breaking the immigration "egg" in 1965 with brother Robert, scrambling it some more in 1986, trying to scramble it forever until this nation's character is transformed into a socialist welfare state.... celebrating the death of the two-party system, the death of the American Dream, the Dream merged into the Mexican Nightmare, the elimination of our national borders

140 years after the first attempt to sunder this Union, it has been saved again.... for now.... As in 1861, the committed citizens, true believers in the principles and values of the Declaration of Independence, the descendents of the original patriots and minutemen have stood fast against the attack on our sovereignty, the rape of our Constitution, the transfer of poverty from Mexico and other places to the US taxpayer

Perhaps now Mexicans and other nationals will decide to FIX THEIR HOMELAND instead of taking the EASY WAY out of their morass to pick our pockets .... America will support those "wonderful, hard-working, good-hearted" migrants to clean house at home and install honest and competent leaders instead of tolerating corrupt elites: Mexicans did so in 1810..... again in 1910...... 2010 is around the corner!

We will NOT tolerate AMNESTY, for amnesty is "forgive and forget" as in "amnesia". Whether they pay $5 or $5000.... it is amnesty if the criminal is left with what he stole in the first place: work and life in our land.... ahead of the "legal immigrant" applicants who are NOT in our nation and are waiting over there for the chance to come here ..... honorably!

FIRST CLOSE THE ILLEGAL POINTS OF CROSSING ON THE BORDER...then we'll talk again..

PSST: the American Dream is exportable.... take it home with you! Buena Suerte!

That's the key. Our politicians should tell Mexico and the other countries to stand up for their own people, change to help them and stop sending them here for us to take care of!

My gosh, Mexico is 13th in the world economy! What's their problem?
Do not vote for Party this year, vote for America and American workers!

boy, I am gagging on the foul and phoney expressions of regret being expressed on the Senate floor.... Ms Feinstein is the one who does not understand THE REASON for their defeat: they keep repeating FALLACIES.

    Amnesty

    Comprehensive Reform

    Jobs Americans wont do

    (Permanent) "Temporary" Guest Worker Program

Diversity.... (Latinos, Hispanics, Mexicans..... is NOT diversity)

    Civil Rights...

National Security (Open Borders is "security")

Though I don't see much wisdom in antagonizing the enemy, I like the somewhat positive spin and the poignant fact - they need to fix their own countries. What we have now is like when Castro lets Cuban prisoners out to go to the US. Actually, a pretty brilliant move considering the rather unwise policy of JFK's in giving sactuary to illegal alien Cubans. Right now the leaders are taking the US for a ride for remittances.

Since that was a purported "business" board it seems the proper venue.

Sam... you made me think of the "epiphany" that Gerald Rivera (FOXNews) had the other day, explaining the different assimilation rate of Cubans Vs Mexicans.... at least he admits that there is a huge difference. His explanation was: America offered a much more sincere welcome to Cubans, therefore psychologically enticing them to integrate faster....

I am afraid Geraldo is fantasizing, rationalizing: there is a fundamental difference between most of the Cubans and most of the Mexicans in this country. Most of the Cuban exiles, especially in the early years, were the well-established, affluent middle class of Cuba (yes, mostly white)... they were well educated and successful entrepreneurs, coming from a capitalist society... at least until Castro took over in 1959...

Mexicans, on the other hand, are by far mostly "mestizos" (white-indian mixture), barely educated and poor, coming from a socialist, paternalistic environment

This explains also the reason for the subtle animosity between the two groups; success provokes envy. (South Americans fit into the Cuban model; places like Argentina, Chile and Uruguay are mostly European-origin at 90%..)

    I agree
Never look at another flag. Remember, that behind Government, there is your country, and that you belong to her as you do belong to your own mother. Stand by her as you would stand by your own mother
