According to C-Span, some Amendments are still being negotiated...which would likely mean it isn't a done deal just yet.

Senate has very formal procedural rules. I am not quite sure what this one is. It may be to compel attendance of members.

I don't think they have a quorum yet....so they have to vote to compel...to send security out to track senators down and bring them to the senate chamber.

The people voting "I" want to compel attendance so they will have a quorum and vote on the ammendments and cloture.

any idea who is voting which way? Maybe we can get a indication of what is going on.

Well 71 voted to waive the quota rule....that isn't good...but doesn't mean weve lost yet.

I think they will be now going to the amendments offered on the floor....

I missed what REID said....but they may have to have Senators fly in...which means when would the cloture vote be taken???
