The Seven Rules of Immigration
1) Grant an automatic path to citizenship to "illegal aliens" who have resided in the United States for at least "10" years as of May 15, 2006, and have a spotless criminal record.
2) Deport anyone who entered the United States illegally and has been in the country for less than "10" years.
3) Mandate a $5,000 (minimum) fine for "each" illegal immigrant who is eligible for citizenship.
4) Mandate proficiency in English as a key requirement of citizenship.
5) Revoke the full citizenship of any naturalized citizen (or any citizen born to an "illegal alien") who knowingly and willfully harbors an "illegal alien".
6) Change the constitution to "deny" citizenship to "anyone" who is born in the United States to an "illegal alien".
7) Deny the chance to apply for citizenship to any "illegal alien" who is caught and detained.
To Congress - Pass a bill that forever prohibits the government from ever granting earned citizenship again, or anything close to it.

Some things can't be said enough.
Your ideas are a pure common sense - there is pretty much no country that has the law by which the offspring of illegals are rewarded the citizenship. The children get the same status as their parents. This is the primary loophole, which illegals abuse. There is absolutely no rationale in it. Try going to any country and start multiplying...you take your kid with you when they kick you out...Nobody wants to support neither you nor your kid...and open his legal system to abuse and "open the Pandora box" for the future generations.
