    THEM vs. US

I do not know if anyone else has noticed this, but I have. This election has just enlightened the subject alot more than in the past.
What I'm talking about is CLASS WARFARE...
Them vs. Us... The Rich and Powerful vs. The Poor and Meek.
Joe the plumber opened my eyes when he got Barack Obama to admit he wants to "Spread the Wealth"...
I do not see it that way, I see it as the UPPER CLASS KEEPING WHAT THEY HAVE.... And SPREADING THE CRUMBS OUT TO KEEP THE POOR HAPPY.
I dont know who in here can remember the Sharon Tate murders, at the hands of Charles Manson. He had a "PLAN", it was called Helter Skelter, starting a race war... And after the carnage he would step in and rule.
I see a similarity going on today in our Govt. They have become so out of touch with the real people, they do what they want, when they want and just get the American people to work harder, longer( changing daylight savings) for less (higher & more taxes).
I just want to say this :
THEY have Armies... WE have FAMILIES
THEY have Influence... WE have The CONSTITUTION
THEY have Power & Money... WE HAVE OUR FAITH IN GOD!!!
<div>MY eyes HAVE seen the GLORY... And that GLORY BELONGS to US... We the PEOPLE!</div>

Well said Patriot. Someone made a comment like that to me a while back and it really gave me some food for thought. But I also think it's both a culture and class war and we are being played with by the elite so they can have more power. The haves have it all while the rest of us get poorer. Those of us in the middle class are fighting to keep our heads above water by living in the culture we are accustomed to. Meanwhile we have illegals and some legal immigrants such as Somalis who have a completely different way of life than ours. The "newcomers" are taught how to use us for their gain. Our government and media lets the "newcomers" think they are the chosen ones by kowtowing to their needs and by giving them the ability to take and demand more. Meanwhile we are handed crumbs so the elites can keep the sheeple happy.

Bingo. One of the strategies used by our elites is to turn the middle class against the lower class. Ya know, "Those poor, lazy people are taking all of my tax dollars!!"

Fannie and Freddy should be an indicator about where your tax dollars really go.

IMO welfare is nothing more than the elites way of keeping their system intact. You really think this is the poor getting their way in Washington? Where is their lobby? Where is their politcal influence? The elites know that without it, their entire system would crumble, and we could possibly have a revolution. So, they prop up their system by assuaging the people at the bottum to avoid civilian anger and revolutionary change. Then they turn around and tell us that it is the poor themselves that are the problem, taking our hard earned dough. When the fact is that more of it is going to the powerful people that are controlling this entire mess.
Serve Bush with his letter of resignation.

    See you at the signing!!

It's not a sin to be wealthy, nor is it a sin to keep what you have if acquired honestly. Is it really fair to, based on financial worth, paint everyone with the same brush?

But it is awful to cheat others to gain wealth, and not pay taxes on earnings. Deductions for the wealthy are a plenty just ask Cindy McCain. The wealthy know all the loopholes not to pay federal taxes. It is the middle class that has been working and working; and did not learn how to use tax deductions to build capital wealth.

I think the middle class have thought that everyone was paying taxes. But the truth is the poor and rich have been bypassing federal and state income taxes.

And now with the Bail Out the middle class is really getting a lesson by the crooks.

Here is an example of what is going on middle class: poor say oh I don't need an IRA but give me my Earned Income Credit; and the rich invest for the poor to rent and work for them to get tax deductions to build capital.
And the middle class is working, buying a house, investing in an IRA but have not developed the art of building capital using the tax structure.

How Much Federal Income Tax Do High-Income Taxpayers in Each State Pay?

Every year the IRS publishes data on which income groups pay the most federal individual income taxes. This data is used extensively by researchers and policy groups trying to shed some light on exactly who pays taxes, and how much.

The IRS has now published the same data by state, showing how much residents of each income group in each state send to Washington each year. The new numbers provide some fascinating insights into how much tax is paid by wealthy individuals in certain states.

For example, the top 1 percent of tax returns (150,000 returns) in California alone pay more in federal individual income taxes than the bottom 50 percent of taxpayers in the entire country. Put another way, 150,000 wealthy taxpayers in CA pay more than 66.6 million taxpayers nationwide. The same is true of New York, Texas, and Florida.
