Wonderful news!! I so hope more black Americans board the Trump Train. Donald Trump will work so hard to solve so many of the problems that are still unique to black Americans. You know, you are the reason we have a Republican Party. It was started for you, to end slavery, establish civil and equal rights for black Americans. Republicans passed the first US Civil Rights Act in 1866, less than a year after the Civil War. But Democrats challenged it in the Courts, and much of it was over-turned based on the arguments made by the Democrats. Republicans passed the 13th, 14th and 15th Amendments to the US Constitution for you. Democrats under Democrat Andrew Johnson established Black Codes, cancelled Reconstruction and Slavery Reparations, and in later yeas instituted Jim Crow Laws and fought all future efforts to pass another US Civil Rights Act for almost 100 years. Republicans fought for the Brown vs Board of Education Supreme Court Ruling during the Eisenhower Administration and submitted an amicus brief in support of Brown. Republicans seeing a change in heart with the Supreme Court fought again for the 1957 US Civil Rights Act. Gerald Ford who was in Congress at the time and Minority Whip fought like a dog to pass it along with many other Republicans but needed a few Democrats to support it, and Lyndon Johnson also in Congress at the time delivered them, but only after gutting much of it. John F Kennedy who was in the US Senate at the time voted against it, a little known fact. It was Republican Richard Nixon who ended segregation and enforced the Brown vs Board of Education decision in all 50 states.

The US Civil Rights Act of 1964 was the original ungutted Republican bill that was introduced by Republicans in 1957 and passed with a higher % of Republican votes (80%) than % of Democrats (55%). The US Voting Rights Act of 1965 was written and introduced by Everett Dirksen, a Republican Senator from Illinois.

It would be a wonderful thing if Trump can bring black Americans back home to the Republican Party, you help elect him, so he can solve many of the inequities black Americans still deal with, which today are almost all caused or related to lack of jobs, incomes and opportunity, especially in our inner cities and urban areas.
