Republicans are soul searching... The Answer is...

Pat Buchanan. I listen to allot of talk radio on my way to and from work. Today all the shows are about what conservatives should do. They are in the wilderness looking for clues. I was listening to Hew Hewitt talking to this dumb know-it-all Bill Kristol. They were saying Republicans should marginalize the crazy fringe of the conservatives that want immigration enforcement, because McCain lost two thirds of Latinos to Obama. Mr Hewitt of course promptly agreed.
It is pathetic that these super intelilgent elites that also double as idiots who can't see what is staring them straight in the face.
As we all know Bush and MCCain pandered to them, put his neck on the line, and teamed up with the Libs. to offer them amnesty and much more. How were they repaid?

They lost two thirds of them and the base of American conservatives at the same time.
I feel the need to tell Republicans to dump Bill Kristol and his like. and Republican leadership needs to do an emergency course on

    PAT BUCHANAN

I hope they are reading this, because this is what they need to know and do!

    give them a report card

    Hey Pat
Let's elevate the Constitution Party to run against the Democrats and make the Republican Party a third party. Penalty for totally letting the American People down. Bump them off the two party system. Kind of like a report card go back re-evaluate and you must work your way back to the two party level. What do you think? Let's give the constitution party a chance. They are the largest 3rd party and deserve a chance to be put in a second place.

I'm all for it, as long as we can keep the big money monopolies from corrupting through favors from huge contributions. Or better yet, arrest and prosecute them for treason after the election is won if they start to manipulate the government.

The repulican party and democratic party are both so owned.... we have to look outside of those two parties.

When you look at both those parties, Stepford Wives comes to mind. They are so blinded by greed and corruption, we can never overcome the evil powers that own them.

Hewitt is weak on illegal immigration, and the battle for the Republican Party begins anew. Bill Kristol, Richard Land and otherwise intelligent people are pushing this tired line. The only problem is the facts and evidence from last night don't support their belief that mass amnesty and pandering to one block of voters will help the GOP.

For example, the pro-illegal alien business-funded measure was defeated last night in Arizona (Prop 202). The majority of Latinos who voted, voted against the measure (in other words, they voted for enforcement). Also, Victor David Hanson was also on Hewitt's show today and he said that many Hispanics he knows and lives near are upset with illegal immigration.

The only thing conservatives have done wrong is allow GWB to twist and turn ideology into such a knot because of false bravado. Scaring the population with the fact we are continually under enemy attack, while that attack goes on, not physically, but open borders and ideas like letting radical Islamism become entrenched in this country, and all the while, he and his gang have done their best to undermine our rights for the benefit of big business, and claiming the government's God-given right to be Big Brother.
Does anyone know the statute of limitation on treason?

I read all of Pat's essays and have read a few of his books, They are always a bulls eye. I can't believe more republicans are not carying his writings with them were ever they go.
I heard Pat once say that the reason he probably will never be president is because he would change things too much.

The Republicans are in crisis and are unfocused. Pat Buchanans essays should be required reading for all of them at this time.

These guys are numbskulls, McCain DID marginalize the "immigration enforcement fringe", he spent millions on Spanish ads touting his support of amnesty, and he lost big time because he lost many conservatives over it!! The new Latino voters love the tax (gringos) and spend (on Latinos) Democrats, these guys are idiots for thinking otherwise. Plus the only Latinos who make immigration a voting priority are LaRaza members, for the rest it is not a major issue.

    I wrote the Chairman

    Hello All,
I couldnt think of anything else to do, so I wrote the following and sent it to the chairman, as well as all the state folks (Even though I am in Iraq, I am going to do the most that I can)
    Dear Sir,
As I write this email today, my heart is very heavy with the total loss of Republican Majorities in the Senate, House, and the Presidency. As the subject states, I am serving in Iraq, and I am deathly afraid of what country I will return home to. Sir, I can't help but state what I think are some of the problems with the Republican platform which, if not addressed will destroy the party, and ultimately the U.S.A. I have been a lifelong voting constituent of the Republican Party, because it reflects some of what I believe very intensely. I am hoping you will read this, but, I am not holding out much hope, as I know you must be deluged with email, as well as questions about what went wrong, etc. There is no sense in looking back, and crying over spilled milk, so to speak. Now is the time, where we, as Republicans MUST mount a defense to save our Nation. This President elect, as well as the current House and Senate have no regard for this nation, nor where she MUST head to survive.

To this end, I feel I must address some of the issues with you, simply borne out of sheer frustration. With the Party number 1, and for my country number 2.
First issue: Sir, Republicans had control of the Senate, and the House for a pretty good length of time. The Republican Party did NOTHING to force Congressmen and Senators to live within the tax laws that were passed, nor shrinking the size of Government. I watched with great joy as the Republicans seemed to win EVERY race there was in 2006. It seemed to me that we were well on our way to returning to a more Constitutional form of government. Then reality hit. IF the Republican party is going retake the Senate AND the HOUSE, we need, in my opinion, to be frank, forthcoming, and honest. The taxation system in this country is highly unfair, with breaks going to the wealthiest of us, and "creative" ways of manipulating capital to finance outdated, cash-draining, unconstitutional programs. Lets take a look at healthcare. While this is a hot button issue, it is NOT constitutionally authorized. Worse, Republicans continued to fund illegal immigrants healthcare to the tune of 5 Billion dollars. How is this fair to those who worked and saved all of their lives? Taxes, and larger Government are the enemy of a free people. I propose a flat tax plan. 9% EVERYONE pays. ALL business, and ALL individuals. No loopholes, no breaks. This would force Government to live within a budget, as we citizens are told we should do.

Secondly, Illegal Immigration. Sir, this is self-explanatory. I don’t know what deal the Republicans made with Mexico, and big business, but we had a chance to build ourselves a legacy upon which we could have stood for years to come. Illegal immigration is an issue 85% of Americans agree MUST be fixed. AMNESTY is NOT the answer. Our COUNTRY is at stake. Illegals MUST go home, period, end of story.

Finally, when are Republican lawmakers going to realize that doing business as usual with respect to accepting lobbyists funds for favors (Yes, it does go on, all the time) and living outside the laws which we citizens are REQUIRED to suffer under (SPP, NAFTA etc) How is it that our Sovereignty, our nation is subject to the UN and Mexico and the world? Well, aside from money?
In short sir, I would love to run for office, but, until the Republican party will adopt intelligent policies, and get back to what we said we are going to do, we don’t stand a chance in hell of reclaiming this country, and we will be culpable in the destruction of this, the greatest country the world has ever known.

    Very Sincerely, and Respectfully,
    1LT Allen D. Toepfer
