"Blame? We Don't Need No Stinkin' Blame!"



Instead of fretting about who'll get blamed for the government shutdown, why not focus on who'll get the credit?

That's right, the real question should be - must be, "Who'll get the credit, who'll get the props?" for standing up, standing tall, standing firm - drawing a meaningful red line against the federal leviathan that insists on ramming the poison pill of ObamaCare down America's throat.

Yes, the federal government is experiencing a partial shutdown as a consequence of the Republicans' somewhat surprising determination. Yes, some people will suffer at least temporary financial hardship or some sort of inconvenience or interruption of plans, but…

House Republicans have played the funding card and called the Democrats' bluff. And as of this recording, the GOP hardline is holding…holding against repeated Senate rejections of compromise funding proposals that would have kept the government going, while defunding or delaying or dialing back ObamaCare.

Yet, even as the government is shut down, the ObamaCare Health Insurance Marketplace is open for business. Glitchy, to be sure, halting and hiccuppy, but the website healthcare.gov is bumping along, providing some access to the insurance exchanges. So, we suppose those government workers trying to get ObamaCare up and running online - those workers must be essential and therefore not furloughed.

But the real question is, will healthy young Americans go online and sign up? Will these new participants essential to the functioning of this brave new health care system join in, pay up and help fund and feed the ObamaCare monster? And will negative opinions about the President's health care takeover scheme soften? Even as the law marks it coming out, new polls find that only a fraction of respondents think ObamaCare will help them and their families. Lots of folks say the law will, in fact, hurt. Tons of those surveyed by various groups are confused or simply out to lunch.

You know what they say about first impressions…and when it comes to ObamaCare, the country's first impression should have team Obama in need of treatment for depression. Of course, leading lefties like Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi are publicly smiling and high-fiving and strutting around crowing about the dire political consequences of the shutdown for those mean, nasty, greedy, hateful, obstructionist Republicans. And naturally, many of their media allies are going along with the gloat.

But we suspect that privately, when the bluster and bully bravado has been left outside the chamber doors, the progressives with any sense of political reality are more worried than they are confident the shutdown will play out in their favor. It's been some 17 years since the lights last went out in Washington. Times are very different. The economy, the grassroots activism, the arrogance of this President, our faith in the future, the mood of the country are a far cry from the days of the Gingrich/Clinton showdown.

And there's this from one of the nation's leading public opinion analysts, noted political scientist James Stimson - Americans, he finds, are in their most conservative "policy mood" since 1952. With Obama in the White House, there's been a marked shift in our political leanings - a shift to the right, to conservatism. And now with strong, solid, steady conservative champions on Capitol Hill, it's time we stop fretting about taking the blame for taking bold steps to stop the ObamaCare train wreck, and start taking credit for having the guts to pull the emergency brake.

Government Shutdown 100% Democrats’ Fault

The government shutdown is 100% the Democrats’ fault. Republicans compromised repeatedly but Democrats refused to budge from their unpopular and foolish Obamacare program that will hurt millions of hard working Americans.

Say what you want about partisan bickering in the United States Congress and the government shutdown, the facts are simple.
The Republicans in the House of Representatives repeatedly compromised, moving increasingly closer to the position of the leftists. Democrats in the Senate and President Obama refused to budge an inch. You cannot blame Republicans for this shutdown. The only blame that can be placed in this mess is on Barack Obama and Harry Reid for absolutely refusing to compromise with the House of Representatives.
Look, Republicans control the House of Representatives. Democrats control the Senate and the White House. For some reason (and I’ll tell you what it is below), Democrats believe the House of Representatives should just be a rubber stamp for their aggressive, irresponsible, and unpopular progressive agenda, especially when it comes to Obamacare. Despite repeated attempts and pleas by House Republicans to reach a compromise budget with Democrats in the US Senate and Barack Obama, the Democrats flat out refused to even discuss possible compromises with the Republicans.
As a disabled veteran, I am probably going to have to forgo a monthly disability check from the Department of Veterans Affairs that my wife and I rely on. I am not happy about that prospect whatsoever. I only have a 30% disability rating, but there are guys who have a lot bigger health problems than me and who have much larger checks that they rely on exponentially more. I’m pissed off more for them than I am for myself.
I’m not pissed off at government for failing to keep its promises to veterans. I’m not pissed off at Republicans for failing to reach a compromise with Democrats. I’m pissed off at Democrats for not even entertaining the notion of a compromise and letting this happen – WILLING this happen. At any time, Democrats could have put an end to this by negotiating with Republican leadership. Democrats absolutely refused.
From the sick, twisted minds of Democrat strategists and leaderships, this is nothing more than a calculated political maneuver. They know that 2014 is shaping up to be an insanely Republican year. They know they’re likely to lose the Senate. Afterall, more Americans are identifying themselves as “conservative” than anytime since 1952. That’s due in no small part to the people learning more and more about what Obamacare actually does and how they can expect to be screwed over by it.
However, by using veterans and the elderly as pawns in their manipulative political positioning, Democrats hope to make Republicans the bad guys who shut down the government and are holding up the benefits owed to veterans and others. Bleeding heart liberals? Please, that falsely assumes they had a heart. This is nothing more than a game to them.
A veteran’s disability check isn’t something that a veteran earns through his or her sacrifice, it is leverage to these socialists.
These monsters who call themselves Democrats don’t give a fart about anybody. Not veterans, unions, the elderly, minorities, nor anybody else. They ONLY care about their agenda and that’s proven by their disgusting and callous behavior that has led to this government shutdown.
Barack Obama and his Democrat cronies can negotiate with Vladimir Putin, but not Republicans.
These socialist monsters can negotiate with Iran and Syria, but not Republicans.
This administration has no problems regularly working with China; which murders thousands of innocent men, women and children; pollute the water and air more than any country in the world; steal protected material; steal our national secrets; threaten our greatest allies in Asia and the Pacific; and promote communist insurgencies in Latin America… yet when House Republicans want to protect the people from a bad law that is going to hurt millions of Americans and cause the price of health insurance to skyrocket more than it already has, Barack Obama won’t budge.
Call your Congressmen, write your town newspapers, and do everything you can to make sure the country and the world knows that this government shutdown is merely a political ploy of Barack Obama and Senate Democrats.

DO NOT LET THEM GET AWAY WITH THIS!
