These are my solutions on how our government should deal with our illegal immigration problem. Feel free to add your thoughts and let's see if we can come up with something to send our representatives.

I hate to bring bad news on top of such good news.... there are Mexican nationals with Medicaid cards who come over to visit and while they're here they take care of all their medical appointments including dental. True.

If 12 million illegals can sneak into the US, and 12 million illegals can be monitored to ensure thay pay fines etc..under S. 1348, then why can't 12 million illegals be deported?

Well, the medicaid cards are just another thing our government needs to get rid of, unless they are citizens.

SECURE THE BORDER NOW. While this is being done, move at lease 25,000 military there and let them do the job they were trained to do, DEFEND THE U.S. AGAINST INVASION.

FINE corporations, businesses and individuals who hire illegal aliens BIG BUCKS with prison sentences for repeat hiring.

CUT OFF the public dole to all illegal aliens. NO ONE who isn’t a citizen or LEGAL immigrant should benefit from our tax dollars.

AG WORKERS: Much of the harvesting can be done mechanically. Make growers APPLY for their workers, giving a TEMPORARY visa to the required number. This MUST be an AG visa which allows ONLY AG work. NO FAMILIES included. The visas should be good for 4 years after which that person cannot come back. They should go home when no longer required for work. There MUST be a REASONABLE minimum wage set for AG workers.

OTHER WORKERS must be brought in on a point system. ALL jobs must be thoroughly advertised over wide areas of the U.S. before allowing the importation of foreign workers. We cannot afford more uneducated poor. We have enough of our own.

In the areas where there are severe shortages, i.e., nurses, the U.S. should spend tax dollars on expanding nursing schools instead of trillions on illegal aliens. Hundreds of thousands of our citizens have been turned away from nursing because of a shortage of nursing schools.

The babies of illegal aliens are being given automatic citizenship. This IS NOT IN THE CONSTITUTION and goes against U.S. SUPREME COURT decisions. Again, do your homework. I found the decisions, so can you. Citizenships granted should be voided, as they were awarded illegally. In order for a baby to be given citizenship, AT LEAST ONE PARENT MUST BE A LEGAL CITIZEN.

CHAIN MIGRATION must not be allowed. Any legal immigrant should be able to bring ONLY his/or spouse and minor children. PERIOD!

Illegal aliens that return home should not be given any special privileges. Get in line, like everyone else.

ENGLISH SHOULD BE THE OFFICIAL U.S. LANGUAGE. Any legal immigrant, who does not learn English within 3 years, should be deported. Assimilation is a MUST.

WE DO NOT NEED 1000 PAGES of new immigration laws full of loopholes and special considerations. WE NEED SOME COMMON SENSE, which seems to be sadly lacking in Jorge Boosh and members of Congress.

WHEN YOU TAKE THE ABOVE STEPS, millions of illegal aliens will have no choice but to self-deport. Let them go back home and march in their own streets making their demands. For example, in Mexico, it is time the government and the elite take care of their own.

You're right, girlygirl, everything you said.

I think our government has forgotten who it was made this country what it is today. Those people sadly, have been pushed to the back of the line to make room for cheap labor and criminals.

A friend of mine's husband died of a brain tumor at the age of 32 she has two children and two years ago she was told she has leukemia. Medicaid cut off her prescription for pain medication and other drugs she found this out to standing on line in the drugstore behind an illegal alien with two kids who got their prescriptions filled and paid for by Medicaid.
