Steele told a private gathering of Hispanic activists that Republicans should put forth an immigration plan that puts families first.
Washington (CNN) - In a private meeting with Hispanic Republican activists last week, Republican National Committee chairman Michael Steele called for a comprehensive immigration policy that puts families first – a stance at odds with some conservatives in his party who see border security and enforcement as top priorities.

Steele also said Republican leaders are sensitive to “the perception of racism in lawâ€

Unfortunately, this guy Steele is an idiot with a mouth and he is not afraid to open it. If this is the best Republicans can do no wonder they are so capable of snatching defeat out of the jaws of victory.

My family is being negatively affected by the immigration policies of the United States and we have not done anything illegal. Until that ends I demand that any compassion relating to this issue be demonstrated toward American citizens. Illegal Aliens have their home nations to show them compassion and care for them. American citizens have no one.

What about putting American families first? You know the ones that actually pay taxes in this country.

We have each other. And it's time every American put their fellow citizens first and foremost, always and forever.

Well, there goes another one I used to have respect for. I guess Steele can now join my 'public enemy' list right under Lou Dobbs.

When will this nation return to allowing those who are considered for legal entry, to be a benefit to the United States themselves. When will we stop believing that immigration is a family train, where millions come, and they become welfare recipients, and just add more numbers to the population while draining services.

Senator Jeff Sessions asked about the merit of people who would come - what would they bring to America?

Steele needs to get the boot out of his position.
