How You Can Help Stop ACLU Profiteering

The following was taken from Tammybruce.com:

I bet most of you do not know that when the ACLU sues a municipality, usually to force them to remove a nativity scene or other religious display, if they win the targeted city or town has to pay their "legal bills." Those legal bills, of course, are usually huge and paid with your tax dollars.

Even when the ACLU sues a city and the city doesn't fight back and just rolls over and settles, the ACLU also gets their "legal fees" paid to them. In other words, it's tantamount to profiterring, erasing God from the public square and getting paid our tax dollars to do it. You can hear them laughing all the way to the bank.

Well, there is a chance this could change. The House has passed a bill to eliminate this scam. The problem is, without your voice, it may not pass the senate. Here are some details.

House Passes Measure on Religion Suits

The House passed a bill yesterday that would bar judges from awarding legal fees to the American Civil Liberties Union and similar groups that sue municipalities for violating the Constitution's ban on government establishment of religion.

Though the bill would prevent plaintiffs from recovering legal costs in any lawsuit based on the Establishment Clause, House Republicans said during a floor debate that it was particularly aimed at organizations that force the removal of Nativity scenes and Ten Commandments monuments from public property.

The bill, called the Public Expressions of Religion Protection Act, passed 244 to 173 on a mostly party-line vote...

Caroline Fredrickson, director of the ACLU's Washington legislative office, said the measure is "election-year red meat for the Christian right, because they've been complaining they haven't gotten enough from this Congress."

Fredrickson added that it appears unlikely the Senate will pass the bill.

The American Legion, the Southern Baptist Convention and other conservative groups began pushing for the legislation after a Pennsylvania judge awarded $2 million to the ACLU of Pennsylvania and Americans United for Separation of Church and State. The two groups had successfully sued the school board in Dover, Pa., for requiring science teachers to teach "intelligent design" alongside evolution. The award was later reduced to $1 million.

So, the ACLU equates Christians to dogs looking for red meat. This is what we're up against. The money the ACLU gets from suing cities is vita to their operations, and they'll fight with all they have to keep that from changing. Now is the time for you to be heard. Congress goes into recess on Friday until October 13, and we are in contact with the bill's sponsor, Rep Hostettler's office, to see when you contacting your senator to pass this bill, would be of most use. Watch this site for that information. I'll have it for you soon.

Well there's a shocker! Its quite evident that the Senate is more of an enemy to the American people than the House.

This would hopefully be the end of the ACLU if this bill miraculously did pass the Senate.

I would rate the ACLU as the most dangerous organization in the U.S. today. It is unbelievable what they do to tear down the American way of life, traditions and etc. The destruction of this organization would be the highlight of my life time. I hope I live to see it happen.

You know what people need to do? Set up the biggest cross or nativity scene on their own property, one that people will come from miles away to see!

Then when the liberals start bellyaching that it "offends" them or steps on their "rights", no matter what they say, no one can tell you what to do as this is private property.

This is exactly the reason that at Christmas and Easter, all churches should put up the most elaborate Christian display they can, as their churches are considered private property as it is owned by the "church" which means all members of the church.

Let the ACLU roll around and have their demonic fits while all private property owners relish the right to do what they please with their property.

Yep, I am an instigater, I like to irritate people who oppose the right things in life.
