I saw the update on Peter's story last night on one of the Albuquerque news stations and I just checked out the link to the Albuquerque Journal story and on the page it says that none of the comments by visitors were approved to be displayed. It seems that the news media in Albuquerque is denying legal American citizens the opportunity to voice their support or opinons for Peter. Yet they give La Raza groups and other groups the opportunity to accuse Peter of dumb things. This is a bunch of B.S. Peter is not be treated fairly by the media. I'm still planning to write a letter to UNM in support of Peter.

As a kid, I went through 3 years of being a Cub Scout and 1 year as a Boy Scout. Back then, the rules for flying our flag was that if it was flown with any other nation's flag, it would have to be flown higher. And..another nation's flag was being flown, it COULD NOT be flown without the US flag.
Here is a FAQ: I have a neighbor flying a Mexican flag and no US flag. Is this a violation of the flag code?
This is what the US Flag Code states now:

Quote:
The Flag Code (see below) requires that the US flag be flown on federal institutions, including public schools. It does not require you to fly the US flag and it does not forbid you from displaying a foreign flag. For example, someone with Irish heritage may proudly fly an Irish flag and is not required to fly the US flag. In the early 1900s there was hostility when the German flag was flown in the US, prompting Theodore Roosevelt to state that we had one flag, and one language. We are again revisiting tensions, this time it is the Mexican flag. We understand the emotional tensions of the situation, however, the Flag Code (see below) does not support those who wish to forbid the flying of the Mexican flag within our borders without also flying the US flag.

Here's the link about Phoenix trying to ban foreign flags being flown alone:

PHOENIX (Reuters) — A Nevada town passed a law this week making it illegal to fly a foreign nation's flag by itself, the latest swipe by a U.S. community at illegal immigrants.....
Looks like they've changed the code simply to accomodate the Mexicans. What a bunch of crap.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)
