Democrats may soon be taking a tougher public position on immigration, according to a confidential study put together by key think tanks close to the party leadership.

Their argument “It is unacceptable to have 12 million people in our country who are outside the system,â€

Disingenious and full of couched and massaged rhetoric. All we're seeing is a concerted effort to put some polish on and obfuscate their real intent: Amnesty and rewarding the illegal aliens for breaking in and remaining illegally in America.

It's unacceptable to grant any form of amnesty to illegal aliens, i.e., those who have entered our country illegally and/or overstayed their visas.

So, basically, they played word games...."require" over "allow".....to dupe those asked into supplying the answers they wanted?

And, they are suggesting that politcians will be able to succeed in giving illegals a free pass by playing word games and duping the American public too?

I've got news for 'em.....politicians have been playing word games since there have been politicians. We're used to it. It won't work.

From a pure policy perspective, and taking the opinions of those who voted for the 1986 amnesty, it was a complete failure. It did little of what the proponents assumed it would, it involved 3-4 times the people it was projected to cover, there were great numbers of fraud and abuse to achieve legalization, etc. Why should we entertain the idea of implementing a previous approach when it failed and failed miserably???

Ooooooo another stab at amnesty. Geez, they really must think we are stupid sheep! Here's what I say....NO!!!
For the 4th, 5th or 6th time, NO AMNESTY!!!

I can read and this article is almost a word for word of the failed McCain Kennedy shamnesty deal they tried to force-feed us.

The only way for anyone to become a legal resident in this country is to apply while residing in their home country and WAIT to be invited here, in addition to paying all the fees (which are less than they pay to coyotes). They must also be sponsored by an employer, to prove they will not be a burden on the taxpayers! That is the ONLY way to emigrate legally.

Why not we have giving seven amnesties and only got more illegals to rape kill and sell drugs wants what wrong with only 50,000,000 more and the end of the United States. Where’s the problem. Get your body out there now on the line and fight with all your money and if your life or we will no longer haft a country. Vote, fight or die.

It seems like the Democratic Party is for everyone except the U.S. Taxpaying Citizens! The Democratic Party should be scrutinized and its motives should be more closely examined.
