Hello All,
Its been a little while since I have posted. I was deployed to Iraq, and am currently serving a year tour. I have to say that I joined to protect the greatest nationon earth, and in the history of the world. Since I have been here I have had my eyes opened to a great number of things, not the least of which being that we are being accosted by the world. While I am not under the command of a foreign general, we certainly are influenced by them. You are being told that the war in Iraq is unwinnable, but, I see the war being won on a daily basis. Dont let the MSM, or the politicians lie to you. Al Qaeda is still a powerful enemy, as is the Taliban.
I am truly frightened for the first time in my life over the state of the U.S.A. First, we do have a way out of Iraq at hand, but you wont hear about it until after the election, when the Democrats can claim credit. I know that there is not much I can say to erase the angst, and anger, but, what concerns me the most is the blatant money grab by our own contracters. Secondly, I am truly worried about the country I will come back to. Will it even exist? I wrote "Stunned" in the title, because I just mailed back my ballot, and, for the first time in my life, I voted for a Third Party Candidate. (Chuck Baldwin) Both the Republicans, AND the Democrats have lost the vision that the Founders of this nation had in mind. That having been said, I am truly scared. The American people are asleep at the wheel. Right now, we are in real danger of losing our sovereignty, and I see the pleasure on the faces of those who would "guide" us in our endeavor to become more socialist like themselves. Folks, I would like to ask you, please dont EVER stop the fight. This issue is MUCH more than just Illegal immigration. We are told that we will go home to a heros welcome, and good jobs, and accolades. Yet, I dont see it. All I see is a bleak future with "Fairness" doctrines, killing Free speech, UN "Poverty" assistance, Taxation on scale which will FORCE us to go to the UN. The job of which I am a part, has the International Committee of the Red Cross visit us on a Quarterly basis. Ladies and Gentlemen, the ICRC is NOT our friend. They seem to think that the U.S should NOT be able to detain those who are our enemies, or mischief makers, or whomever else are causing us problems. The other item which truly frightens me is the UNSCR. Did you know we are not ALLOWED to attack a hostile country WITHOUT UN approval? Did you know that we are unable to operate ANYWHERE in the world WITHOUT UN authority? Folks, I see only bleakness, and theft in this election. Theft of our sovereignty, theft of our rights, theft of our most deeply held beliefs. This election is about a lot more than just electing a President, just as this site is really a great deal more than just Illegal Immigration.
I apologize if my musings are tedious, and boring, however, I feel a need to report what is going on over here, so that you know, back home, what IS coming our way.
Americans are being told that Obama, or McCain will create jobs, and that they want to help the economy. Let me ask this, if they are really interested in jobs, helping with infrastructure, schools etc. Why are we, as a nation shipping well over 10 BILLION a year in manufacturing and the like to CHINA? If they truly are interested in helping the American people, why are we not DEMANDING that a flat tax rate be part of a party platform?
Thank God for this site, and others like it. Folks, I am going to have to sign off to get back to work. But, rest ASSURED, we have some time left. Not much, but, a little. Please dont ever stop doing what you are doing. William, our country needs you to continue doing what you are doing. Folks, KEEP Fighting. NEVER GIVE UP, NEVER SURRENDER!!!!! Please. A friend of mine, recently back from 2 years in Iraq, came back saying extremely similar things. Thanks for making sure that a firsthand view gets past the news filters, and back to the people who love and support you.

Thank you and God bless you and all the troops in Iraq (and elsewhere) for fighting for us. We're fighting here, too, and I want to elt you know we need you to keep fighting too!

I'd be happy to do an interview for PA Pundits, sans the MSM filters, to spread your story. PA Pundits often gets picked up by FOX News Buzztracker and recopied to lots of other blogs.

You heroes are very much loved and appreciated. So come home soon and help us regain our country! WE CAN DO IT!
