****NORTH COUNTY TIMES IS HIDING THIS STORY ON THEIR ONLINE WEBPAGES. IT WILL TAKE ABOUT 30 COMMENTS TO MOVE THIS STORY TO THE MOST COMMENTED SECTION OF THE WEEK. THE NCT VERY RARELY FOLLOWS UP ON STORIES THAT CONCERN ILLEGAL ALIENS, BUT WE CAN MOVE THIS INTO SOME SPOTLIGHT. ****

Stories like this one are getting printed every week here in North County, San Diego. The amount of drivers without driver's Licenses is soaring due to the influx of Illegal Aliens. Overall the North County Times newspaper is doing a pretty good job of reporting the stories but they show a liberal bias in favor of the Illegal Aliens as evidenced by their editorials. These stories need to get the attention of the Citizens in San Diego and everywhere else.

In the Escondido,Vista, and surrounding areas of North County, San Diego, the police are setting up numerous DUI Checkpoints and Driver's License Checkpoints on a daily basis now as the problem has gotten so out of hand. Every day the Police Department is impounding dozens of cars due to lack of license and registration and insurance.

Suspected drunk driver blamed for head-on collision

By: North County Times -

VISTA - Three people were injured -- one of them seriously -- when a vehicle driven by a man suspected of having been intoxicated plowed into a car occupied by a mother and her two young children in Vista, authorities said today.

The head-on collision occurred about 9:45 last night on West Vista Way near Huff Street, when the vehicle the man was driving westbound drifted into the eastbound lane, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.

The suspected drunken driver, Morales Sixto, suffered fractured face bones and stomach and leg injuries, sheriff's Lt. Dave Myers said.

A woman driving the car that was hit was taken to Palomar Medical Center with foot and back pain, and her 6-year-old child was being treated for a neck injury, he said. Her 4-month-old child was not hurt.

Sixto, who had an outstanding warrant for driving under the influence from 2005, will be processed for felony DUI, according to Myers.

bvv wrote on December 11, 2006 10:32 AM:"I don't see any posts on this story yet, but will anticipate that some people will guess that in a city awash with illegal aliens, most of them with latino names, this drunk driver is an illegal alien. The hypersensitive posters will pull out their list of labels for those who think illegal in-migration is not good for us. From A to X to Z these labels will claim that racism alone motivates these objections. I heard on the TV that Escondido cops will be trained to perform some functions presently reserved to ICE agents. Hooray"

Diane wrote on December 11, 2006 11:16 AM:"and rightfully so that the cops should be able to pull ICE duties! If this guy is legit, on a DUI warrant from 2005 - why couldn't they catch him? Gee, being that illegals don't really have to register ANYWHERE for ANYTHING including permanent residence - they had no way of finding him. TA DA!! Hence...ICE ICE BABY!!! I can't wait, it's time that Mexcandido..oops, Escondido gets cleaned up! "

Cal_Patriot wrote on December 11, 2006 12:37 PM:"Yet another example of an entirely avoidable tragedy. Just this Saturday, pro-border security activists held a vigil in San Diego for the 25 Americans who are killed each DAY at the hands of criminal aliens, including Amy Kortlang, Deputy Sheriff David March, Officer Tony Zeppetella and Alan Doyle. We backed up these appalling statistic with a Congressional Report submitted by the Government Accounting Office (see GAO-05-337R) on April 7th, 2005. Your heroic NC Times and the Pullitzer Prize winning Union Tribune refused to cover the vigil, the suffering of the parents who lost their children, and this very damming report which states that 27% of prisoners in the US are criminal aliens. Perhaps to them, this is just the "cost of doing business." Shame, shame, shame!"

allen wrote on December 11, 2006 12:58 PM:"it is amazing to me that we have this problem about the illegals only in Escondido, the one city that has more trouble with it's police force than with the residents. don't start hooraying too soon. "

Concerned wrote on December 11, 2006 3:41 PM:"You have to assume this guy is legal. Otherwise the NCT would have reported that he was arrested for DUI and driving without a license. Right?"

Paul wrote on December 11, 2006 3:50 PM:"NCT may not have all the facts yet. I always wish there was a follow up story to give the details, especially of those who were injured and how they are doing. For sure there was no insurance, and probably no license. I am glad this guy is off the road."

Just a Thought wrote on December 11, 2006 6:06 PM:"If there was an outstanding warrant for him , that means that he is probably legal, because he would have been deported back when he had the first DUI, but I am glad that he is now in the hands of officials, and that he will pay for what he caused. My thought and prayer to the family that was hit."

Stephen wrote on December 11, 2006 7:53 PM:"This is in response to just a thought's comments. It is all well and good to pray for the family that was hit. However, we should also do the same for the bad guy."

To Concerned: wrote on December 11, 2006 11:48 PM:"He could not have had a license because he had an outstanding warrent for a previous DUI. If he ever had a license it would have already be suspended. Remember there is probably about 30,000 Illegals in Escondido and none of them are allowed to have a license."

For Concerned wrote on December 12, 2006 11:36 AM:"To Concerned is correct, DUI = suspended license. Want to know what is really sick, the NCT, accidently or by policy, leaving out the pertinent details: driving w/o license, country of origin, legal status, etc., lest they stir up more anger over the perpetrators of the over 900 hit-and-runs in Escondido annually."

Skip wrote on December 12, 2006 11:49 AM:"Juan Morales Sixto, has been identified as a Mexican National. Since he already had outstanding warrents, I do not think he would have legal status in the United States. In my book he is an Illegal Alien, and this is just another typical story for the North County, these days."

VISTA A mother and her 6-year-old son were injured Sunday night after a driver suspected of being drunk collided head-on with their vehicle.

Sheriff officials identified the suspected drunken driver as Juan Morales Sixto, 23, a Mexican national. Sixto was hospitalized with multiple facial fractures, abdominal bruises and a cut on his right thigh.
The mother, who also had her 4-month-old baby in the car, was driving east on West Vista Way near Huff Street just before 10 p.m. when Sixto drifted into her lane and slammed into them, authorities said.

She was taken to a hospital with back and foot injuries. Her two children were taken by helicopter to a hospital, where the older child was treated for a cut on his neck and was being watched closely because he was vomiting. The baby was not injured.

Investigators discovered Sixto was wanted on a 2005 warrant for suspicion of driving under the influence. He also is facing a felony DUI charge in Sunday's crash.
