    Man this Sen Byrd needs to hang it up, how long has this guy been in office?

    I tuned out for a while... sorry I missed it.

    Sen Robert Byrd from WV is the oldest in the Senate (IIRC), but he is also the best Constitutional scholar remaining the senate. He is a real historian and supporter of the Senate (and House) and it's traditions.
    He is a proponent of following strict senate procedure and has often scolded his colleagues when the 'get out of line'...
