Ted Olson makes crap up about federal Constitution & pro
This evening on FOX NEWS SUNDAY with Chris Wallace, Ted Olson pretended that the 14th Amendment is a legitimate basis for striking down California’s Proposition 8. He stated:
[b][i]“The right to marriage is a fundamental right. We’re not talking about a new right here. We’re talking about whether a fundamental right, something that the Supreme Court has characterized as the most fundamental relationship we have in this country, can be deprived of certain individuals because of the color of their skin or because of their sexual orientation. We do not permit discrimination, inequality that’s why we have a Fourteenth Amendment that guarantees equal rights to all citizens. It’s not judicial activism when judges do what the Constitution requires them to do and they follow the precedent of previous decisions of the Supreme Courtâ€

The purpose of marriage as Christendom (and for that matter other major religions as well) has been interpreted for centuries as a bonded legitimate legal union between a male and female....per first century historian, Josephus....to:
procreate children
The decision of this judge is twisting and prostituting the meaning and purpose of marriage to the ridiculous.
Wester defines marriage as thus: "the state of being united to a person of the OPPOSITE SEX as husband and wife in a consensual , contractual relatonshuip recognized by law.
Same sex unions by their very existance, frustrate the natural order of things in the world we know and live in..

If you just go by debating points and style, Ted Olson cleaned Chris Wallace's clock.
Now please don't misunderstand me -- Olson is totally WRONG on this issue, but Wallace was totally unprepared.
As for the issue of Prop. 8 itself, let us all hope and pray that "sanity will reign" when it gets to the Supreme Court. Speaking of which, please check out the link below ...

Bingo! And the sad thing is, Olson's arguments are based upon various misrepresentations concerning the 14th Amendment which can be easily refuted with documentation, some of which I provided above.
