Which ALIPAC members would support a Tancredo candidacy for
president of the United States in 2008?
It seems to me that every other potential Republican candidate for president is not commited to securing and enforcing this nation's borders.
I believe it is not too soon for those of us who want Cong. Tancredo to run for president to start seriously encouraging him to run for president and to start networking.
I live in Tennessee and I believe that Cong. Tancredo could have a great deal of support in Tennessee in a Republican presidential primary. I know that Sen. Frist would be hard to beat in Tennessee. However, I think Cong. Tancredo would attract a great deal of conservative support.
How do other ALIPAC members think that Cong. Tancredo would run in their state?

Is this a trick question? Dude--listen up. Tom Tancredo is the first politician I've ever heard who didn't sound like a game show host or a phony political/media hack. I find his honesty refreshing. I like the fact that when interviewers ask him an honest question, he gives an honest and thoughtful answer. I am not looking for a saviour and I sure as hell don't think a perfect person exists on this earth, but Tom T is a breath of fresh air.
Will I vote for him? No. I will campaign for him, support his presidential bid with whatever money I can contribute, AND THEN VOTE FOR HIM.

vote for Tom Tancredo
Yes, I would vote for him, so far anyway. If he sticks to his platform and doesn't pull out of all his promises at the last minute like some candidates do, he would definitely have my vote. Pat Buchannon looks very promising as well.

Only if Lou Dobbs is his running mate
We decided to stay out of the Presidential race in 2004 because we had no options.
We will begin our endorsements and contributions in the primary season of 06.

I would vote for him based on immigration issues. Once that is under control, we can deal we other issues that have fiscal implications. The impact of illegal immigration cost more than our politicians are willing to let us know.

At the end of March, there was a site that hosted an Internet vote for nominating the Republican candidate for President.
Tom Tancredo made it to the quarterfinals, but was defeated by Haley Barbour who ended up winning the whole election.

It was a close vote with Tancredo losing only by 50.1% to 49.9%.

WorldNetDaily had this to say about Haley Barbour :
WorldNetDaily - No to Haley Barbour - April 22, 2005
But the disqualifier for Barbour is his history as a lobbyist for the Mexican government. We don't need another president beholden to Mexico. This will undoubtedly be the legacy of George W. Bush. When the inevitable terrorist attackers infiltrate our country by crossing the Mexican border unscathed, Bush will be blamed. And he will deserve America's wrath for his reckless border policies.
Barbour would continue those policies. That's what he was paid big bucks to do.
His work on behalf of cross-border trucking helped lure even more U.S. jobs south of the border.
He is perhaps the least likely candidate to restore sanity to our border policies and immigration laws.
He's bought and paid for.
One dupe for Vicente Fox has been enough.
It's time for America to find leadership that will put our nation's interest first – that will protect American jobs and the American way of life.
I can scarcely imagine a less attractive candidate for the Republicans to consider in 2008 than Haley Barbour. But he's well-connected. He's well-funded. He has scratched a lot of backs in the party establishment over the years.
It could happen.
It might be Haley Barbour's pipedream – or it could be America's national nightmare.
Can the United States of America do no better than this?
Can the Republican Party do no better than this?
If American is going to remain the land of the free and the home of the brave, we're going to need vital new leadership with vision and charisma. We will need new ideas and bold decisiveness. We will need principle over politics. We will need courage and convictions.
Hillary Clinton is going to be the candidate to beat in 2008.
I, for one, do not want to be faced with a choice of Hillary vs. Haley.
That would be making the Democrats' job too easy."We have it in our power to begin the world over again." (Thomas Paine 1776 "Common Sense") "The cause of America is in great measure the cause of all mankind." ("Common Sense")

Yes! I will vote for Tancredo if he sticks to his stand against illegal aliens and I don't favor the party running against him on other issues and providing that other party also has to be an opponent of illegal aliens too because this issue is numero uno as far as I'm concerned.
I'm registered as a democrat and have never voted republican for a presidential candidate although I occasionally vote republican in more minor catagories. Actually, when having to change my address before the most recent elections, I noted on the voters registration change form that I wished to change my party affiliation from democrat to unaffiliated, but the voter registration group failed to note this change when issuing me a new card.
Political party doesn't really matter to me - it's the issues that count the most. I've really never paid much attention to politics until just recently and immigration issues have made this difference. Still, with my increased interest in a major topic (illegal aliens please just go away) I cannot see how either major party nor some minor ones in the USA are really addressing this concern of massive immigration (both legal and illegal). I may as well vote for the Republicrats or the Demoblicans come the next elections, or not vote at all if neither party addresses these issues. I was really angry that Kerry, who I voted for, didn't win, but after reading recently that he was as much as or even more gung ho than Bush in awarding amnesties for illegal aliens in this country, I'm not so upset now that he didn't win. Even still, while voting in the 2004 elections, my major thought was that I was voting for the lessor of two evils. The major candidates running for Presidunce are usually not that different when you get right down to it and the choices really suck and have sucked for a very long time.
Anyway, the party(ies) in favor of reducing illegal aliens in 2006/008 will get my votes regardless of which party affiliation they belong to.People who take issue with control of population do not understand that if it is not done in a graceful way, nature will do it in a brutal fashion - Henry Kendall
