There were Exclusion laws...where are they today for Mex?

Immigrant cycle familiar to United States...Az article

"In San Francisco, people started to feel uncomfortable that all the laundromats were owned by Chinese people, and so they passed a law that said laundromats couldn't be made out of wood . . . and then began enforcing this law only on Chinese people," he said.

At the time, nearly all laundries were made of wood.

The 1880 ordinance was deemed unconstitutional in 1886 by the U.S. Supreme Court, but there were several other state and federal laws passed during this time that also targeted immigrants of Asian descent.

In 1882, Congress passed the Chinese Exclusion Act, which prohibited Chinese laborers from coming to the U.S. It wasn't repealed until 1943.

In 1913, California passed the Alien Land Law, which prevented Chinese, Japanese and Korean immigrants from owning property. Ten other states followed with similar laws over the next decade. In 1952, the California Supreme Court ruled the law unconstitutional.

In 1917, Congress began requiring immigrants to take a literacy test and barred people living in most of eastern Asia and the Pacific islands from immigrating to the U.S. These also were later abolished.

Aguila said Mexican immigration was encouraged during this period, mainly because farmers needed laborers to fill the vacancies left by the men who were serving in World War I as well as the decline in Chinese laborers as a result of restrictive laws.

"The belief was that Mexicans were more suited to do agricultural labor than Chinese because Mexicans would come in as migrant labor and once the work was over, they would go back," Aguila said.

Job opportunities resulted in an increase in immigrants from Mexico, and resentment toward Mexicans began to develop.

The U.S. Border Patrol was created in 1924 to help prevent illegal entry across the Mexican and Canadian borders.

This article claims this is a 20 year cycle... It looks to me like this "cycle" has been on going for about 100 years because there has never been a law made to exclude Mexicans. We simply have enough Mexicans...we need to look at the old laws to find a way to stop any more Southern Immigration.

    Sorry...I have simply had enough...

If there truly is a 20 year cycle, it's time for all the illegals in my town to leave.

This is America...Americans have a birth right here. Every country has borders and each person has a birth right to those countries. It is not my fault or any ones fault that America was smart enough to create the Greatest Nation on earth. The hostility of Mexico against the USA will eventually be dealt with.

We have a right to protect and defend our country from any foreign invaders. People walking across our border are not immigrants...they are illegal tourists...and have no legal right to work here or to any entitlements. Simply because our government has currently turned against the American people does not mean that the rules and laws of America have disappeared...they simply are not being enforced by the socialistic dictators posing as the American government...they too willl be delt with.

The "We the people" will wake up and "we" will take America back and restore the Republic the Constitution and protect the borders against all who seek to invade and take advantage of us.

The Aztlan La Raza reconquista will not prevail.

The idea for America is not to exclude mexicans that want to come here

Bottom line though is that there has to be limits on all that want to come ,. we can't let in the whole world, they all want to come here

I would say that mexican/hispanic has came here in the last 20 years in numbers far greater than our immigration system was set up for , either legally or illegally , somebody has been asleep at the switch

You can't change a demographic of a large country that fast unless it was on purpose

    As this was

Immigration was for the help and assistance of a building america. Zero immigration should happen when we have high unemployment numbers.

Now it is viewed as a tool to help the poor of the world by abusing the good nature of America.

This is wrong in so many ways... If you have not seen gum balls please watch it... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n7WJeqxuOfQ

"One nation under God" - something mexico never will understand why God is above "we the people's" nation's name.

Americans are being terrorized by mexico and their citizens, which most American patriots of all races want to end forever, and they don't want it to be pretty and beneficial to the hostile ingrates from all spanish speaking naitons who refuse to be responsible and take the LEGAL route to "BEING American patriots".

America's framework was sealed with certainties like "One nation under God" that is more firm than anything embedded in rock, marble, or ore.

No one will be tolerated to destroy those certainties.

mexico "will" make mistakes that will bring their own ruination. They already have. No nation, including the USA, will allow anyone to pee on them forever, and then call them racists for not letting the peeing to continue.

mexico's deadly acts against America's own will end one way or another.

As it is America's patriots, in the majority, want mexico cut off from the continent and shipped out to sea to live alienated, which is what they deserve.

They have enough of America's tax dollars to live for centuries to come.

    Can you say anchor babies?

mexico has deliberately changed the demographic of the United States of America

We now have more Mexican "immigrants" in the USA than have come from any other single country through our entire 234 year history!!! Germany with 7.5 million immigrants in 234 years is next highest after Mexico. This is not immigration, it's an invasion.

We need to deport all the illegals and their anchors, then limit Mexican immigration to 5% of whatever total immigration is, maybe less.
