Thread: Thompson has tax plan

Thompson suggests that people have a choice between tax as usual or
a flat tax. The bad part is that part of this idea is that persons 58 and
down have their promised benefit reduced. That one thing will cost him
big time!!! He may never recover from that foot in mouth issue!

Thompson does have a plan for folks like myself younger than 58 that involves private savings accounts and I personally like that idea. I seriously have my doubts that social security will be around when I get ready to retire anyway. I was seriously disappointed by Thompson at the start of his presidential bid but lately he has taken some positions that I can really get behind especially his plans for illegal immigration. He even chastised Fox news this morning in his interview with Chris Wallace for being biased against his campaign. He was awesome.

When asked about "The Fair Tax' Thompson is "noncommital". To me, the "Fair Tax" is very important in the Presidential race. I don't want to hear "lower taxes" - I want to hear "Fair Taxes".

Noncommittal "Thompson said he would consider replacing the federal tax code with a consumption tax. But he stopped short of recommending it or siding with those who favor overhauling the existing code.

I understood that he said "flat" tax meaning to me that everyone paid
a certain percentage of their income.

Forget Thompson's tax plan, we don't need no stinkin CFR member in the White House. He's a globalist jerk who wants to play President, just like the jerk who's there now.
